People aren't allowed to dislike wrestlers if it goes against the popular opinion? That's news to me. I love how you are getting mad at people for their opinions meanwhile you were saying yours as a fact and just expecting people to go along with it and agree. You could have said “I believe AJ is a problem” or “I believe he is slacking a bit” but your title of your post literally says “AJ is a problem.” That is definitely not a FACT and I do not agree with your OPINION. The program he’s in may not be the best but he gave us great matches last year. He pulled out one of Jinders and Brock’s best from each of them. He’s also getting up in age. If you are expecting him to do what he was doing in TNA in 2005 every week in 2018 then you are crazy. You may not find him entertaining but do not insult our intelligence and our opinions and pass off whatever you like or dislike as fact. Keep it to yourself then.

Where to start.... 1. *waste 2. His move set is fine, I have no idea why everyone complains about it, the guy is huge and you can't expect him to pump out a shooting star press every match. Also, Braun Strowman and Dean Ambrose have about the same number of moves and no one complains, just jumping on the bandwagon I see? 3. The way in which Vince McMahon or the WWE creative team have tried to get him over hasn't worked, and that isn't Roman's fault. I don't think he's brillaint and i'm not a fanboy by any means but please, don't jump on bandwagons and talk rubbish. thats total BS, Roman never paid his dues and look where his sorry butt has gotten because of his size and who his relatives are Rollins was on the indie scene and was in ring of honor and Ambrose busted in you know what in combat zone wrestling done even get me started Dean has bleed more times than most wrestlers will ever know. oh yea thanks for the spelling lesson. Spending a decade on the independents makes no difference if you can’t wrestle your way out of a paper bag. Cutting yourself open with a razor blade and jumping on thumbtacks and barbed wire isn’t paying your dues, it’s maiming yourself for the purpose of entertainment. If you think that Roman hasn’t paid his dues, then you’re just ignorant to the point of stubborn denial. Roman’s made vast improvement in the ring and on the microphone that anyone who isn’t wearing the same “lol roman sux vince off to get main events” rose-colored glasses from 2015 could see with ease. Is he the best guy in the ring? No. Is he the best on the mic? No. But Roman Reigns had more great matches than AJ Styles did in 2017.

AJ Styles has been on cruise control since the Shane match. His promos are largely the same, spoken in monotone, or he tries to ramble on to get to a punchline that never hits with the zing he intends it to be. AJ's matches have not been anything special. The feud with Owens was largely not very good, full of lethargic promos and matches that took ages to get going. You could blame SmackDown creative, I guess? Just remember that when Raw creative was actively hurting the show in the fall of 2016, Kevin Owens was still a beacon of light. He still persevered despite bad creative. He had really creative promos and put on consistently good matches on TV and PPV despite bad booking. AJ has not been a beacon of light on a bad SmackDown, and in almost every week's case, he's felt just as lifeless as the rest of the show. Remember when AJ beating Jinder was supposed to be the cure for SmackDown's bad show? It wasn't. The show has been just as, if not more, lethargic as it's ever been. And yes, some of it is attributed to the show being basically a rerun every week. But if you look at the individual people appearing on the show, you have Liv and Naomi doing Lucha spots every week trying to stand out. You have The Usos cutting strong promos, trying to stand out. And you have AJ, doing legitimately the same thing he's been doing for almost a year. It's great that you like him, I do too. But I just think that he hasn't been nearly as good as he was in 2016 or the first quarter of 2017. I'd take a great Jinder match over an average AJ Styles match no matter what. That must be awkward for you, given that Jinder has literally never had a great match and the only good one he's ever been in was an average AJ Styles match.

I'll ask for permission next time to have a different opinion than everyone else. Don't be mad people have given legit reasons that claim otherwise.

Would, say, Miz in AJ’s spot on Smackdown make for a better TV show?
Would even Cena in AJ’s place make SD much better right now? That seems unclear.

How is what is said in the OP presented as opinion in any way? Claims about AJ are made that look like projection of the "opinion."
