Alright guys. We do enough to shoot the sh*t in the GD - let's get some honest to god dialogue going here. We used to do these a lot and people would give some pretty interesting perspectives behind their picks, and personally, I feel it's another avenue for people to be able to sit back and evaluate where they stand in the eyes of others. Rules are simple - ahead of the massive flux of RPs around deadline time, go down the card and place your bets on who you've got going over. Traditionally, folks tend to shy away from calling their own matches, but I don't care if you do or not. If the motivation strikes me between plowing through my taxes and finishing up the award show, I'll try and throw together a scoreboard so maybe we can make this a regular thing. The Main Event! You know, we normally do this at SuperBrawl, but this is a great idea to bring this back as a regular PPV occurance.
I'll give my picks later.

Dean- Gonna be a tight one, but I know what he's planning and if he pulls it off I'm not entirely sure Trace is gonna know what hit him. That's the big if though. Should it not come to pass, Trace will win. Show stealer either way.
Crowe- The miracle run ends here for Stone. Cam's one of the most game opponents Crowe has had since he debuted the character, but Crowe's already hopped and skipped, he's just a jump away from the main event title picture. Cam's around there too but consistency is key. I think that puts Crowe over Cam.
Brennan- It's a contenders match. He doesn't lose these...ever. He just doesn't ever make it to the title match for some reason or another. Assuming there's no rust, I wouldn't wanna be the one facing him.
Wolf- Bison's been on the best roll I've seen a new guy go on in years but I think Wolf finally picks up that elusive first W in this match. He stepped up big last show against Crowe. He's got all the ammo and firepower to take down Bison because of the storyline he got thrown into and I think he finally uses it.
Dex- Sorry, Pat. If I had a "knockout" pick, it's this one. Unless he pisses around, Dex wins.
Vess/Quenton- Not to knock Doobs or Mantis but Quenton could beat half of the roster in a multi man handicap match without even trying. Prove me wrong though and I'll be damn excited.
Skinner- Everyone is gonna pick Shapiro. He's the one everyone knows. However I know what Skinner's capable of. He's gonna make this one hell of a good match.
Jette- The devil you know.

Drakz vs. Samael Ahriman - I don't lose. Especially not to you Shawn. Joshua Dean vs. Trace Demon - Honestly this could go either way. Both these guys are insanely talented writers who are at their best at this very moment. I'm going to go with Dean simply because I want his character to pick up the win storyline wise here. He's been screwed at every turn so some vengeance would be sweet. Cameron Stone vs. Lucas Crowe - Another close one. I've been excited about this match ever since we came up with the title unification idea a couple of months ago. Both are well seasoned writers and have been around for years but I think Crowe has really shown some huge improvement over the course of the last year. I feel he's a better writer now than he ever was writing as Justin Tyme. I'm gonna go Crowe. David Brennan vs. Penny Shannon vs. Ante Whitner - Having read a single scene of his RP already I can't not go with Brennan here. If he sticks around he's going to be world champ before the end of the year. Cam Nitta vs. Dex - If both write at full force then I honestly have no idea but based on the fact that Cam's been a little distracted recently I think Dex takes this one. Brandon Bison vs. Trevor Wolf - Whilst Wolf has been in the main event picture thanks to his storyline involvement I think I pick Bison here as I've really enjoyed his grasp on how to write an RP. I think this is the start of the climb for him. Vass “The Slayer” & Quenton Alexander vs. Dr Mantis Toboggan MD & Wilbur Richardson - A bit of a blind vote in all honesty but like bad guy™ said I know Quenton's got the skills to win big here if he puts them to work. Frank Lynn vs. Mike Jette - I've not read any work from him but with what little communication I've had with Lynn so far he seems like he's got the goods to deliver in his debut. Shapiro vs. Dave Skinner vs. "Bulletproof" Bobby Hall - I'm in the same boat as bad guy™ here actually in that I have a feeling Skinner is going to make waves here if he sticks it out. I read a tiny bit of his previous work here and it showed great promise.

Because those who have voted so far were in some way, shape or form around during your original short stint and know you're a good writer.

Drakz (c) vs. Samael Ahriman
I gots to go with mah boy. No, but really - both these guys have got it, and really, this one could be anyone's game, so it's more down to overall whose work do I generally favor and who do I see being the more sensical champion going into SuperBrawl, and in both scenarios, that's Drakz. There's absolutely no saying that Shawn couldn't pull this one out, because he almost certainly could, but given the factors above, I'm going Drakz.
Trace Demon vs. Joshua Dean
If you were booking this angle strictly to put on television, it's all Josh from here, because what's better than a redemption story. Even on our side of the coin, Josh is a class act writer and hasn't really missed a beat since his losing show against some slouch at the last SuperBrawl - guy's just been firing on all cylinders. That's to preface that it's in no way an indictment on him when I say this, and I'm not looking up the facts to back up my stupid opinion, but when is the last time Trace has come out less than aces? It's just hard to envision him doing the job on this one, and for that reason, I gots to go with my gut.
Cameron Stone (c) vs. Lucas Crowe (c)
Use this, Cam. F-ckin' use it and show us all up. I don't think Lucas Crowe is ready to be toppled yet. I f*ckin' WANT him to, on the off chance I come out of this show with the W, 'cause I don't want to have to face him, but I just don't think it's his time yet. Cam could pull the upset of the show here by going over, and the reader in me (and possible opponent for that matter) hopes he does, but I'm only cautiously optimistic there, only because Crowe has just been absolutely beastly from the get go.
Penny Shannon vs. Ante Whitner vs. David Brennan
I won't call this one, but I'll comment all the same - I think Ante is going to give me an absolute run for my money. I don't know for certain what Mike will or will not pull out on this one since he was largely AWOL during the planning of the spot on the last show, but Ante could really shut the lot of you calling this one in my favor right up, and I'll be the first to say it. It's a choice f-ckin' batch to come off an extended hiatus into.
Cam Nitta vs. Dex
Yeah, yeah yeah. This one pains me to call. I ain't afraid to be perfectly candid, and I don't think anyone would even be surprised in me saying I don't like Dex, period. On the flip side, I do like Cam a whole lot and he's done nothing but break my heart since the first time he walked away here. I might be ready to forgive him if he could pull out all the stops and give me a classic Cam piece here, 'cause vintage Cam vs. Dex 2014ish onward wins every time, in my book. On the flip side, if Dex can manage to put something out that actually captivates and leaves the reader wanting more, the win might hurt considerably less if Cam winds up phoning it in again.
Brandon Bison vs. Trevor Wolf
This is a big "if". IF Bison doesn't let those nerves get to him and manages to continue operating at the level he has been with a gradient upward slope, he's the no brainer win here. If he doesn't, and falls into the pit of a no show or a a participation piece, Wolf pulls the first W of his run. Gonna be an interesting one to watch.
Vass “The Slayer” & Quenton Alexander vs. Dr Mantis Toboggan MD & Wilbur Richardson
Unless someone creates a character named Charlie Kelly who comes out and annoys Vass and Quenton to death with his shrill ass voice and the fact the he, also, would not be an original character, then the win goes to the stronger tandem by token of originality alone.
Frank Lynn vs. Mike Jette
Jette asked for this match, so I want to see him own it, bottom line.
Shapiro vs. Dave Skinner vs. "Bulletproof" Bobby Hall
Urich can write. I'm using that as my sole basis.

How'd that work out again?

Ahriman: This is the very definition of a "trap game" for Drakz, and I think he knows it. Shawn's been running hot for quite a while now, he's motivated, and is putting together some really strong work, even if the results haven't shown it. It's hard to bet against Drakz because there's no holes in his game, but Shawn's passion carries into his work here with his current arch and I think he uses that to pull off the upset. Coin flip.
Dean vs. Demon: I'm not going to vote on my match, but you can't go wrong picking here. To provide comments on the match itself, Trace and I are excited to do this program and I realize to win, I must put out a top notch effort because Trace is going to bring it.
Stone: Very few guys step up in big match situations better than Cam. Crowe's been more active and has been consistently solid, but I know Cam has something special lined up. It's close, but I think Cam gets it done here.
Brennan: Brennan has a lot of firepower at his disposal and like Shawn said, he doesn't lose in title eliminators. While Ante is coming in motivated and Mike can f*ck around and come up large, I think Brennan staves them off here. This one is closer than many may anticipate.
Dex: This is actually a match I've been back and forth on. When both guys are on, they are two of the toughest outs in the fed. But I just think Dex has a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. That gets him the win here.
Wolf: Both guys here are on the verge of breaking out something huge. Bison has really hit the ground running, but Wolf has been thrown in head first into the top storyline, and the experience gives him material he can use. Plus I know he has the desire to get his first W, and I think he gets it.
Vass/Alexander: Experience wins here. Quentin has the goods, and a solid effort should do it. Don't sleep on the team of Mantis and Richardson, both guys have a lot of promise.
Jette: He has promise. Not only that, but even though he turned in late for Dark Matter he still turned in a quality effort. I think he takes the critiques and makes the adjustments to get a big win here.
Skinner: I normally would've went Shapiro, but he seems to be struggling with ideas/time. This hurts him and having seen some of Urich's past work, I think he puts it together for a win.

SuperBrawl, the show I am trying to stack numbers for, the last one I was going against three Hall of Famers and a future one and all but two people had the then champion Trace Demon (see: card) whooping us all because he was on one of the strongest rolls WFWF had seen. Something like two years undefeated. The whole lot came out guns blazing and I won, still not entirely sure how to this day. But it's an eerily similar situation this go round, except it's one on one, against someone on equal footing if not better (day dependent) than Trace. I've sort of been building two years for this match. I like being the underdog. It tells a better story.

Drakz v. Ahriman- This one could go either way. Both guys are great writers and have the potential to really elevate the status of the WFWF single handidly. Drakz has been champ for the longest of times and has had a legendary reign. Shawn on the other hand had an unbelievable victory at SuperBrawl. I'll give Drakz the slight edge, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Ahriman win with an upset.
Dean v. Demon- Both guys have been shooting out good works recently, but I'd argue that Demon has found his rhythm recently. On a much larger scale and in a much more important match I think Demon will take what he did at the last event and only accentuate it. I'll go with Demon.
Cam Stone v. Crowe- I'll be contrarian here and give this one to Cam. Cam is one of those guys who seemingly thrive under pressure and produce top tier caliber works when it truly matters. This should be a close one, but I think Cam has proven himself as one of the premiere writers here.
Shannon v. Vrennan v. Whitner- This is essentially a crap-shoot. Everyone here could win this match, I'd argue that everyone is on equal footing regarding Rp and narrative potential. Should be a good one.
Bison v. Wolfe- I live in North Carolina and I hate the Panthers, that's reason enough. Joking. Both of these guys have a large amount of potential and can truly develop. I'll give Bison the slight edge, but Wolfe has impressed lately and could pull off a good victory if he follows advice and continues to read other works.
Vass and Alexander v. Mantis and Richardson- Alexander pulled out one of the better pieces at the last event, and I'm actually somewhat surprised that he's on the pre-show. While I'm interested in seeing where Eichardson goes with this, I think Alexander will have another great Rp and carry this for his team. Vaas and Mantis are essentially making their debuts so it should be interesting.
Lynn v. Jette- No clue, I've heard good things about both of these guys but I don't know enough about either. Flip a coin, if heads Lynn, if tails Jette.
Shapiro v. Skinner v. Hall- I do remember Bens former stints here, and I do think that a new character could do him a degree of good, I'll give the advantage to Shapiro who I am more familiar with. Hall is a newer character as well, I think Shapiro has an easy jumping start for his RP than the others.

Hmm, honestly, more people have think ill win then i thought. Lol Listen man, you have been thrown in the deep end and it didn't scare you away. You've embraced it and have improved against the best, all while carrying yourself as a class act. But that trial by fire is going to pay off. Don't believe me, go back and look at the 2014 shows and my particular rp's from when I first came back and had a reputation to uphold. I had exactly ONE win in 2014 before the Clash at the beginning of 2015, and look at where I am now. That's not being cocky either, but living proof that by listening to the feedback and making adjustments in your writing as you go, something will catch on and your confidence will grow. That's all it takes to go on a run.
