Also why does Jake have that ripped torso? The one they used before was fine Yeah this is a real question here. That's likely just a proto pic. I'd be legitimately shocked if they randomly changed his torso to an incorrect one.

Oh dear.... I don't think I'll get any of them.....not a new sculpt between them. Just a cheap repaint set.

This set makes me fear for the line, honestly. HOF 3 is apparently warming and this one will certainly not fly off the shleves...

That George Steel is gonna overtake Tito's shelf warming title. Well at least George the Animal looks interesting. Tito looks like a 7/11 clerk in his tighty whities. I don't see why anyone would buy that figure unless you have a personal affinity for the wrestler. I like Tito, but this is the funniest thing I have read on here in a week lol.

good news for those who missed them the first time, and good news for my wallet that I won't have to get all of them this time.
Jake would have been an easy buy for me, but that torso is absolutely ridiculous, why would they do that??
King Booker is a wait and see, I MIGHT grab it, but the first one was so good I don't really need it.
Edge looks great, although its annoying that Mattel didn't get colorful with the attire, but I'm not surprised.
George Steele, much like everyone else I am already fearing the epidemic of Animals at Target nationwide.

The 4 packs and Tito are warming but the others have seemed to do well. I think series 4 will do well other than Steele. Edge and Booker will sell and Jake will do alright. At least IMO

Think of the number of figures, especially legends/flashbacks we've missed out on because of re-releases. There's been 6 re-releases, at least, within the past several months. Look, I get that Mattel wants to capitalize on the higher priced, secondary market value of some of these figures by re-releasing, but spread it out a little bit will you? There's no need to, after going years without issuing a single re-release, decide to pump out 6+ re-releases within 6 months with more to come, I'm sure. Furthermore, if you're going to do re-releases, MattelDesignTeam should include them as part of the Elite lineup, or better yet create a new series called "Mattel Classics" or something devoted just to re-releases? Instead, they have chosen to "waste" a slot in the much more limited Defining Moments, Hall Of Fame, and Network Spotlight series. These are sets that are obviously designed with the collector in mind and are already limited in their number of lineup positions available. Recent Re-Releases- Defining Moments Undertaker
- Defining Moments Steve Austin
- Network Spotlight Big Boss Man
- HOF3 Cactus Jack
- HOF4 George Steele
- HOF4 King Booker
Did I miss any? We're given the lame excuse of budget as to why some figures don't come complete (Savage E38 and HOF3 Savage without shirts/jackets/tops) or with the same level of quality that Mattel used to provide, and Defining Moments was supposed to be an answer to that. Steve Austin and The Undertaker as Defining Moments re-releases really shows Mattel's incompetence instead of saving those spots for figures that have actually been requested, anticipated and a wise fit for the Defining Moments line. Undertaker and Austin being the most recent Defining Moments, both of which I passed on by the way, has killed the anticipation and excitement I had for this resurrected line and is probably no surprise why I've seen Takers and Austins shelfwarm everywhere. Now, this weak HOF4 lineup comes hot off the heels of Mattel's biggest screw-up, in my opinion, thus far and that's the whole boneheaded move to include Cactus Jack in HOF3. This is a guy Mattel clearly did not have the legalities finalized for despite greenlighting a spot for him in their already-limited Hall Of Fame series. The fact that this decision gets the go-ahead in a major company like Mattel leaves them with egg all over their faces and rightfully so. Additional screw-ups like flooding the market with re-releases and including re-releases as part of the higher-priced lines that only produce 4-16 figures a year really have me questioning Mattel's strategy through the first quarter of 2016. Whoever is in charge of planning for Mattel's WWE line needs to be taken to task because this is just foolish and while I don't know if it's really impacting their bottom line, I do know that they could be making a helluva lot more money, with a helluva lot more opportunities for sales while reducing costs by employing a strategist who knows the industry, knows the products, and knows the potential consumers. At a minimum. I have thrown plenty of compliments Mattel's way over the years and will continue to do so, but their recent decision and strategies have been marred with egregious mistakes. Tons of money left on the table, plenty of previously loyal customers left unsatisfied; that's not exactly the recipe for success or the way to foster repeat sales and a positive brand awareness.

Jake---not an attire i wanted, but its a good looking attire nonetheless. Why not a WCW Jake to go w/ Surfer Sting? Or a blue version of the legends flame attire? Can't see ppl dying for another Jake since there's like 3 already. And why ruin the figure by changing the torso?
King Booker-----Good repaint i guess. I like the trunks. Would much rather have gotten a 2002 Booker w/ that awesome basic head scan.
Edge---This should'be been the RSC figure. Can't really see what designs it has on the sides...Red or Purple? Has the black boots which is disappointing. Beard app looks kinda wonky. Really like the grey coat though.
George Steele---disappointing because its a straight up rerelease. Where's Alundra Blayze? Surfer Sting? Purple Flair? Backlund? Yellow or Green Razor Ramon? Pretty sure Zbyszko & Fujinami signed deals w/ their HOF inductions. And this figure still goes for only 15 bux on ebay.

Why not a 01- 04 Booker instead of King Booker, Are they really that Lazy ? George Steele gets flowers instead of a shirt , thats the only difference I can see Jake Roberts gets an attire I have never seen before, and a wrong ripped torso this time around, WHY ? Edge, guess it was too much to ask for a more colorful attire. This line should be improving, but instead we continuo this lazy trend of rereleasing figures. Under the HOF series, they gave us a different Eddie, Yoko, Warrior, Trish, Macho,.… than what was released before. But now its time for Mattel to milk the cow dry I guess. We already got a 2001-2002 Booker T.

I'll get Booker & Edge! Wish they would have used this chance to give Edge a must needed new head scan, but I'll live.

Yeah this is a real question here. That's likely just a proto pic. I'd be legitimately shocked if they randomly changed his torso to an incorrect one. it has the belly and chest hair so they took the time to add that then we get the ripped torso on every elite Jake from here on

Jake: I already have the Legends figure but I love this attire too, so I'll pick it up.
Edge: I'll have to see better pics of him, but he's the x-factor for me. I'm happy with E13 but I have been wanting a Rated R Superstar Edge so this might be good.
Booker: I missed out on the original, so I'll buy this one right off the bat.
Steele: I'm happy with the Legends version, but I like the flowers. Another little reference like M$M's basketball. Still, easy pass for me.
I'll be honest, I kind of wish one of them was Diesel, but maybe they'll do another one soon. This is a decent selection for those who haven't gotten the prior figures.

In theory, these re-releases shouldn't be warming if the demand is as ample as some people claim it to be. I share the sentiments as MWFD. I'm mostly a Flashback/Legends collector, so ideally, I'd like a set that's dedicated to such figures to not just be straight up re-releases and repaints.
I know even some good stuff warms in certain places, but I've yet to see one of these "high-demand" repaints/re-releases do well at retail. Target was practically paying us last week to take away the set that included Arn and Tully, two figures people ostensibly couldn't live without two years ago. The Defining Moments Undertaker is looking like the biggest DM shelf-warmer of the relaunched series. There were literally at least 15 Network Boss Mans at my TRU last week; it looks like not one has been bought. No one has had trouble finding the Austin DM and, I suspect that at the price point, it'll eventually warm in most places.
I know people who share my distaste for re-releases and repaints are viewed as wanting to "hog" the high-demand, out-of-production figures for people who didn't start collecting until recently, but the above points are why I'm mostly unhappy to see this growing trend of reissues continue.
