I was wondering when someone was going to bring this up regarding that Savage figure. It really is horribly inaccurate. But at the same time, it's a WCW Savage figure, so I will let it slide for the most part. Maybe Savage did wear those tights he is wearing in Elite 38 one time or another in WCW, just the picture on the box not adding up to the figure is gonna make people question it. Actually, it's very accurate. It's from Bash at the Beach 95, which is printed on the back of the box. The attire is spot on. He didn't wear a shirt on that day. It's missing his jacket, but MDT told us it wouldn't have one when he polled us for the 95 attire. Also, for who mentioned it before, APA did not get all the budget. Macho has new tooling on the tights No but what we are getting at is its not accurate with the attire on the back of the box. And thats the attire they have referenced so you cant blame us for getting confused. Ofcourse he didnt wear a shirt or jacket in the ring but we still get elites with the attire they wear to the ring! Also whats this 95 attire you mention? I dont recall any poll.

I don't understand - the box has a window so you can see what the figure looks like before you buy it. You can see his inaccurate pants, inaccurate sunglasses, lack of a vest. It's all right there, yet you buy it, then come to the forums and complain about getting ripped off. I just dunno. This is an exceptional point and its not getting enough credit in this thread.

Its not at all if you think about it from a collectors view point. I collect all the Macho Man figures so im not going to skip this one and what that poster didnt mention was I still called it a nice figure in my OP. I never said I didnt want to buy it. Im simply making the case that there should have been more accessories at the price. Look at your elites...most do come with vests and in the case of the Macho Man and his attires that should definitely apply to his figures. They are beautiful attires and Mattel should make the most of them. Imagine a shelf full of shirtless Macho Man figures, elites are called elites for a reason and should therfore live up to their name and price or we would all buy basics.

Your whole argument of your original post is that it was too expensive, and didn't come with a vest. You saw it didn't come with a vest, and still bought it. We know this because you came on here to tell us that after you bought it, it was expensive, and has no vest. Hold on, I have to consult with Ed Hochuli on this one... My comment still stands at Old Baby's being exceptional, first down. Also, don't forget to take into account that Macho Man's E38 pants include new tooling costs as they are a new item, and probably exclusive to this figure for the most part. If we were to have gotten the vest, they would have been painted entirely.

Some companies have fans who like their products, yet don't buy them.
Some companies have fans who buy their products even if they don't like them.
Don't be a sucker, I think is the take away here.

Bandalero but you should also respect my opinion as well, I as a person have a right to voice mine. There's a difference between complaining and giving actual feedback. As for Bill, I'm clearly stating why he's done posting on this forum. I am sure you all care about him, because the same ones who say they don't are the same ones typing in excitement with all caps once new figures are revealed. And what was your opinion in this thread? You didn't clearly state anything. What you did, is read some negative feedback and automatically jumped to Bill's defense because "that's the cool thing to do" on the boards recently. Guys, he's a Manager of a line, he's getting paid to do what he does. I'll back you 100% when the critiques get vicious and malicious - like the he-man.org fans. But be objective here, there was no malice in the OP's opinion. He paid a lot of money and the figure fell short of expectations, that's it. If Bill doesn't have thick skin for THAT kind of critique then sure, he needs people like you to consider his feelings at every turn.

and by the way, for those of you lamenting that this guy still bought the figure - well it is his money and his choice. I spent $50 on a remote control helicopter for my son to have fun with, from a toy warehouse with no return policy. Battery life is 6 mins literally! we spend more time trying to get it to stay up in those six minutes. Dumb buy on my part, but I can't complain?

I love the figure. I can understand why people would question it not looking like the box photo, but it is accurate per the event listed on the back of the box. I've already done this pink/black repaint and plan on doing one in black/white colors as well:

If the box said "BATTERY LIFE OF 6 MINUTES!," and then you came here to complain about the battery life, that would be the same as what is going on here. Since it didn't, that's a fair complaint.

Bought this figure last night at Smyths. While its certainly a nice figure, I feel ripped off. I really feel this figure should have came with a vest to warrant a £17.99 price tag which is very expensive. Looking at the attire on the back of the box which this figure is based from, it is clearly inaccurate, they have the wrong colours on the legs, one should be yellow and the other red not both of them black. The glasses are inaccurate as they should have "Macho" written across them. The figure is not based on the picture on the box. That is rarely the case. The glasses and strides are accurate. What he said

If we were to have gotten the vest, they would have been painted entirely. lol at £17.99 I still expect it to include a lot more than "new tooling on the pants". Also, do you know the price breakdown on all this "tooling"? At the end of the day Ive a pricetag I can put my argument against, all you have is this "tooling" is expensive. Well perhaps you can analyse the costs of tooling for us. Im a consumer and so are you...what on earth do we know about tooling. You cant just say well theres no jacket because theres tooling costs involved in the pants. That tooling cost can be small, very little, expensive etc etc. We dont know. Everyone is still entitled to complain about things they buy, that doesnt mean I dont want that product! Its the Macho Man, dig it! Ill always buy his elites because Im a fan but I feel I can raise concerns about price tags etc because its always better for the consumer. You need people like me complaining so theres no room for complacency. These figures are damn expensive and If I feel the product is not justified in that price, Ill complain all I want. £17.99!

Clearly I said that he maybe did wear those tights, but the fact that the tights on the picture on the box are different from the figure are gonna make people question the accuracy of said figure.

I just dont get why they bothered with the poll and then basically did whatever they wanted anyway. What? There was a thread asking for WCW Macho attires, not to vote on it. What we voted for was the American Lex Luger which we got.

While were on the subject of the fig, just a heads up that the Rsc exclusive nwo macho man shirt works perfect with this fig (of course logo acetoned). I received this from the seller on e**y and it's the shirt excepted acetoned.
