Hey guys. So my wife and I had a pretty cool idea for displaying my carded figures outside of just storing them in boxes.
I was thinking about some kind of a display like a toy store would use. Maybe a tack board? I want to know the best way to go about this. I would look at a situation where I had a hanger of sorts where I could hang 5-6 figures per peg. Where would I be able to get the tools for something like this? How much of a process is it? Anyone else do this or know what I mean? Let me know! Thanks

I get what you mean, and a peg board should be easy enough to find if not on Amazon then an office supply store like Staples.
But to be devil's advocate, what's the sense in this kind of display when it would essentially hide everything but the side carding of all of your figs except for whoever is in front?
Kind of defeats the purpose of display to me, unless you're just looking to make space without storing them away forever, in which case I guess I get that.

Attachment DeletedGuy from my local GI JOE group did this. look online for retail supply stores. I know there are catalogs you can purchase from. my father in law has a peg board in his garage for all his diecast cars too. so its not a bad idea.

A peg board with hooks is what I am thinking. The thing is we have this space where all my storage boxes are and I figured it would just look a lot cooler and get them out of the tubs - even though yes a lot of figures would be hiding behind the ones in front. I just have so many MOC figures that there is no real way to display them all without this potential idea moving forward. Just not sure what size hooks work the best and how much pegboard to get.... also wondering if this is something I could do myself.

I am looking at lining a wall with pegboard just like that - but even longer. I will take a pic of the space later so you can see.

Just not sure what size hooks work the best and how much pegboard to get.... also wondering if this is something I could do myself. Then check out an office supply store before Amazon. Check out the sizes and see what you think would fit best, then price compare with Amazon and go from there. I'm sure you can do it on your own. Just because it may mean "Some Assembly Required" doesn't mean you can't put the assembly together.

Peg board can be picked up from Home Depot with the corresponding hooks. That's where we buy it when needed for work. That GI Joe display above is pretty sweet.

I really like the grid wall idea! I think I am going to go that route.. What size hooks do you think would work for standard jakks/mattel boxes? And what kind of base would you recommend? Any pics of action figure displays on gridwall?

Looks great! Of course your Hasbro Perfect and Crush jumped out to my eye. You might want to consider a case for those. I display mine in zoloworld cases which can stand or be hung on a peg.

I have 2 Perfect 1 US cards. My good conditioned one is cased. This one is in lackluster shape so it wasn't a priority. lol.

I will post some pics of how I had it set up at my old place later tonight when I get home. Everything now is kind of jumbled. Most of them are in boxes - some are hanging. I hung my green cards and the rare ones.
