Lets talk WCW figs. What was your favorite brand? How about playset? I really like the rings that toybiz made. I thought they were way better thain the ones jakks was making at the time. Anyone ever have the bash at the beach ring? I always wanted it but never ended up getting it.

For the time WCW toybiz was the best wrestling figures money could buy. While some had action like DDP that hindered play, most of them were pretty playable and durable. I loved my toybiz figures, the NWO Hollywood Hulk Hogan is still one of my favriote figures to this day. I plan to get one MOC eventually.

Galoob WCW figures were the greatest figures ever. Just all there is to it. 2nd would be those giant rubber OSFTM figures. Its a lot more fun using your imagination and having an awesome roster.

I loved this ToyBiz Dennis Rodman. For some reason that, my Bret Hart, and Outsiders two pack were my favorite toys as a kid. If I could find any of these moc for a good price, I'd snatch them up in a heartbeat.

I really liked OSFTM figs. My only problem with them though is they would get scuffed up really bad and leave marks all over the ring.

Other than the OSTM figures, I liked all of the wcw figures.
1998/99/00 with the smash and slam, crash and bash, slam and crunch 2 packs, onomatopoeia and onomatopoeia, nitro active and unleashed figures were all awesome.
First figures in years for hall, Nash, Luger, Jarrett. Elisabeth, savage, wrath (Adam bomb hasbro), bam bam, flair, Bret.
First figures ever for page, giant, Goldberg, Rey , Kidman, Saturn, Jericho, booker, raven, Malenko, mongo, Benoit .
Updated figures for awesome and Douglas.
Only figures ever for disco and Stevie Ray.
Twas good times

At the time I didnt have a ring big enough for them (the monster ring I dont believe was out yet) so I used the seat of a chair lol...I did get marks on the figures though from banging them against each other.

LOVE the WCW Toybiz Range!!!! Did they have some issues? yeah sure but all wrestling lines do. gave all the unique characters but my faves were
Kevin Nash(red Outsiders outfit) Bret Hart(crash n bash Sting 2 pack) Vampiro Jeff Jarrett Shane Douglas Mike Awesome The Giant Chris Jericho Bam Bam Goldberg(Bruisers) Sting(Hart 2 pack) Starrcade 1997 Sting with unremovable coat Malenko(one of THE best they made) Mongo Buff
then there were loads of guys I liked that were ok-good figures but I remember clearly the ones I was disappointed in......
Chris Benoit Sid(leg gimmick was a KILLER) DDP(boggles that they never made a good DDP) Stevie Ray Raven
And I loved the vehicles.......bought the Sting car and Bike because he was my guy!!!
Now onto minor gripes..... It also occurs to me that they never made a good "in ring" Hogan either.....closest was the nWo Hogan with the painted on vest and no sunglasses. And why Luger never got a great in ring figure I will NEVER know or understand.
Also the 2 pack Luger is NOT a good in ring Luger......rubbish figure.

Wasn't the main event hogan sunglasses-less? Nope. Dammit Yup sadly.....and when they had the parts ya gotta wonder why? But then I look at the parts used on ME Luger and I think the set was thrown together during the death throes of the line. but still....so much greatness

Only figures ever for disco and Stevie Ray. Twas good times Stevie Ray was in the OSFTM LJN style figure sets in multiple attires. I also really like the ToyBiz WCW, but those (often goofy) OSFTM LJN inspired figures are my favorite. Galoob has a place in my collection as the first line of WCW figures, but there were so many missed opportunities for cool figures (Doom in their actual attire, for one) and "what if?" figures they never produced that I just can't rate them as my favorites. My favorite Toy Biz are the first Scott Hall, Ring Fighters Sting, and Vampiro. They also did a lot of great peripheral lines like Head Ringers. Being a fan of bobble head and character style figures, Head Ringers Hollywood Hogan occupies a spot on my shelf to this day.

Man, that takes me back...I have a fairly healthy collection, with the French variant of Benoit being a fave...

I used to love the wcw figs. Especially the toy biz ones. I always wanted this sting box set. Sooo F'ing Awesome! This was really the first attempt at making classic figs.

The whole ring masters series was great actually, a much better jericho and rick steiner than the awful grip and flip figures

The mold that was used for Jericho and Bash Bret should have been broken out more often. and Yeah that Luger was great......but it wasn't an in ring Lex. I often used him as executioner actually!!
