I have to agree with pretty much everything he says here. After the reception Mr. T got I started wishing they made it a more private ceremony.

I have to agree with pretty much everything he says here. After the reception Mr. T got I started wishing they made it a more private ceremony. I always preferred the way they did it, when they started making the ceremony a yearly thing, where they had a smaller crowd, a lot of it made up of past and present talent. I've never liked when they went to basically having it in an arena filled with fans.

Agree with all points he made. Maybe not the Arnold one though.

The WWE Hall of Fame isn't special anymore at all. It's just another part of the Wrestlemania weekend where the WWE can rake in cash by having an arena full of fans at the HOF event.
I know people complain that Koko B. Ware was put into the HOF, but the HOF for the WWE is just entertainment. Before you know it, anyone who hasn't burned their bridge with the WWE will be in the HOF at one time or another. Because if not, the HOF ceremonies wouldn't last forever.

Listened to most of it. I really agree with him in spirit, and he does make some good points. You should never "What?" or interrupt someone at the Hall of Fame.. but part of the problem is the WWE is different than most types of shows, because they encourage a lot of fan interaction, and its hard to say we want you to cheer or boo or Yes! or repeat the Rock, but we don't want you to do 'this.' And fans might think since its ok to participate at wrestling shows, they get to participate at that "show (HOF)."
Also, its not really the same as sports Hall of Fames (which are largely based on hard stats and empirical data). It's more akin to acting lifetime achievement awards or something like that..
Anyhow, even if I don't totally agree with his logic, he's totally right in spirit and attitude.

H's right, but acting the tough guy doesn't suit him. Great wrestler but not the kind of guy I'd share a beer with.

This is from his podcast where him and Edge reviewed Wrestlemania 31. Jericho was pissed though and it's fair enough. Saying 'What' on Raw or Smackdown is one thing but to say it at the Hall Of Fame is just total disrespect.
It was also the same episode where he addressed people calling him a "WWE shill".

I agree with him, really if you cant control youself then probably best enjoy something else going on in the city. Some of the speeches are long winded and sometimes a bit drawl, I get that but thats not a cue for someone to put on their own show.

Could not agree with him more about being respectful to anyone who is inducted. People can mock and insult the WWE HOF, but it's a special moment to those men & women who are proud of what they've accomplished. And we should all respect that.

Im a Jericho fan, and I agree with him, but I also remember listening to that podcast and thinking Ok, you made your point, no need in beating a dead horse. He really can turn into a Jackass sometimes with how he "comes down" on people. But like I said, I agree with him for the most part. People need to show class during the HOF ceremony.

The picture the video uses just reminds me of Jericho vs belligerent fans vs terrible security.

He's 100% right. The Hall of Fame is just as prestigious as the NFL Hall of Fame, the NBA Hall of Fame, etc. People don't have the right to disrespect these legends getting the last moment they deserve.

He's 100% right. The Hall of Fame is just as prestigious as the NFL Hall of Fame, the NBA Hall of Fame, etc. People don't have the right to disrespect these legends getting the last moment they deserve. I wish that was true, but it just isn't. This is going to sound harsh, but as drunk, belligerent, and disorderly as football fans can get, they at least try to keep it respectful during the speeches at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I've attended twice. Conversely, wrestling fans - although encouraged to interact - are jackasses. Not all of them, but the vast majority. I don't associate with wrestling fans as a result, and in many ways I am closeted to the outside world because of the sheer number of hicks, morons, simpletons, and just plain jackasses. WWE fans in particular are marks for themselves. Chants such as "we are awesome" make me want to renounce my fandom. It's even worse at the HOF, which as you stated is supposed to be a classy, respectful event to pay homage to the Legends who put their bodies on the line and provided us heroes, role models, and countless hours of entertainment that not just any yokel off the streets can do....with a bunch of idiotic fans who have no class or respect as the backdrop. It doesn't help that as a HOF, there are no ballots, its all showbiz with the Main Event, Upper mid carder, Female, Mid Carder, Forgotten Legend that most people have never heard of, and a celebrity. It should be a respectful event, but its just another way to squeeze more money out of people on Wrestlemania weekend, and for that the attendees (fans) treat it as a show. Its terrible. Also, OJ Simpson is still in the Pro Football HOF whereas Hogan was wiped from the WWE HOF. That right there is enough to devalue the entire WWE HOF.

I agree with the man 150% I was one of those that scoffed at the bushwackers being inducted and after hearing his perspective I feel guilty because of that.

I don't think the fan demographic or their antics is a fair judgment of the validity of a Hall of Fame. I'm not comparing it to say the Football HOF by any means. Just that's not what I'd use as an argument as I don't think it's a fair comparison.
Now, with that being said, it's still bull**** as of the second Drew Carey went in for being on PPV one time ever if not sooner.
I know it's an important accomplishment for the individual, but best of the best or can't tell the story of wrestling without them? No.
