This has been rumored every few months for YEARS and Liev's representatives always shoot it down.
And let's be honest.....this is not a movie that needs to be made anyway. It was a horrible tragedy. Let's just leave it alone.

Let's just leave it alone. Definitely agree. A true tragedy that shouldn't be represented in fictional form, perhaps maybe on a documentary, real life type of "made for TV movie" channel but not on the big screen. For me, it was one of those sad moments where you remember where you were when you heard about it. We, as wrestling fans, have seen a lot of tragedy like Owen's death or the deaths of so many greats at the 30-40 age range but the murder/suicide is probably the worst.

Benoit was one of my all time favorites, but that story had such a sad end I don't know many who would want to watch it. Those of us who would, already know the story and I don't think it needs told that way. I'd be shocked if this ever actually happened.

Do we really need a movie about one of the greatest tragedies in wrestling history? Plus we don't really know exactly what happened, so how can it be a movie?

I cant imagine Triple H or Vince McMahon agreeing to have their likeness used for this movie.

This needs to be left alone. Dredging up this mess will lead to a reopening of wounds that will just be another black eye on wrestling and most definitely for WWE. The fact that hes relatively untouched on the Network is miracle. This movie would probably get him removed from there if it happens. Spurring further the erase peoplr from history mentality. Dont promote him, thats fine. Dont induct him to the HoF, totally ununderstandable. But forcing Vinces hand ,potentially anyway, to remove him from Network programming ,where his appearances can be skipped by those not wishing to see him, would be terrible. It compromises the ability and integrity of the network by not being able to view historical events accurately. So far,no threat of that, however this abomination could change that. Not to mention its just in bad taste and no one knows the accuracy of the events that lead up to the tragedy anyway.

I'll watch it and buy it. I think his story needs to be told.

I can only picture it looking like one of those Lifetime movies. I think it will be hard for me to take a movie like this seriously. I feel like it's going to be super cheesy if they do it.

There is absolutely ZERO reason for a movie to be made about that situation and person. It's completely ridiculous. That was terrible tragedy and should be left alone. We all know wh happened, no reason to relive it.

I don't think they'd necessarily have to show the tragedy at the end, like what they did with American Sniper and just have subtitles or whatever describe what happened next. It could end with whatever they choose and then have a part at the end where it talks about what happened to them. Or they could just not acknowledge that all together and have it be a movie about Chris Benoit and his time wrestling.

We all know wh happened, no reason to relive it. Movie maybe not but it absolutely should be made into an episode of Law & Order It kinda, loosely, was an SVU episode. The differences being it was not a wrestler (hockey player i think) and he didnt kill himself. But the trial was based off of whether steroids or the brain damage he suffered from years of physical abuse playing professionally was reason enough to let him off for the murders, and being prescribed the wrong concoction of pharmaceuticals by his DR......like i said , it was "loosely" based on the Beniot situation. Many of those episodes are based on real headlines, with enough creative license to keep it from being biographical
