Sting doesn't need to win. You dont need a title to be BIG, but thats a mindset wrestling fans have. Sting is already a legend and has barely even wrestled for the WWE.

Of course Sting needs a win but this match, absolutely not gonna happen.

Seth Rollins doesn't need to win clean. He's a heel; heels cheat to win.

As a huge fan, no he shouldn't.

This is why Sting should've won at WrestleMania. Even if HHH had lost, he would still be on Raw each week to regain his heat. Sting wasn't and now he is somehow getting a title shot despite being 0-1 in the WWE which makes no sense.

I'm surprised there are people saying Sting should win...
Sting should have won at WrestleMania but he shouldn't win at NOC he needs the win but Rollins should win and ideally should win clean.

Personally, I'd love for Sting to win the title.

I want Sting to win so bad. Seth Rollins is 29 and has years and years and years and years ahead of him and he's already been WWE Champion for almost half a year.
Sting deserves the right to say he was WWE Champion, even if it was only for 5 minutes and then Sheamus Cashes In.....I would be ok with that. I just want Sting to win and be in the WWE Title History forever.
If he goes 0-2 in WWE, it really hurts him. Older fans know about Sting, but young fans who maybe don't know that much about him will not take him serious if all he does is lose. If I'm a young fan and I see is Sting lose EVERY MATCH, I'm not going to understand why WWE acts like it's such a big deal when Sting shows up. WWE tells me Sting is this ICON and that he's a Legend and one of the best ever....but all the WWE fans see is him get in the ring and FAIL to get the job done.
For that reason alone, Sting needs this win BADLY for the sake of his WWE reputation. The win doesn't need to be clean, they could have Rollins defend the US title against Cena earlier in the night and play up that Rollins was not 100%....but by hook or by crook, Sting must win that match.

Might get flak for this but some of you act like Rollins needs to hold the belt forever and a day and always look strong haha. Ease up a bit he's doing fine now and he'll be a huge star for a long time.
WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE STINGER!
He will probably win it and Sheamus will cash on him Raw the next night. They'll get massive buzz and a good rating and Sting in the books as a WWE champion and they'll transition that thing to Sheamus and the world will keep spinning on its axis.
Everyone knows the pop would be insane!

Seth Rollins doesn't need to win clean. He's a heel; heels cheat to win. This is exactly what I thought! Why does Seth need to win clean when he's been playing the cowardly heel gimmick? I wouldn't mind seeing Sting win for a nostalgic feeling however he doesn't need the title at all.

If I thought the Wwe was actually going to run with sting as champ, I'd be OK with him ending Seth's reign
But it would just be a sympathy run like they did with rock over punk a few years back....no thanks. Although the scenario of sting winning, and sheamus cashing in turning Seth face and sheamus authority new guy I kinda like.

I really have no idea where this is going on at the moment, Surely John is entitled to a re-match? And why s Sting challenging the authority again didn't he loose last time?
This whole angle blind sided me, half of me wasn't expecting to see Sting wrestle again, the other half thought itd be undertaker or another part timer

I truthfully wouldn't mind Sting becoming WWE Champion once in his career, but it shouldn't be as a result of beating Seth Rollins. Sting doesn't NEED to win at Night of Champions. Rollins does.

Whilst I understand what you mean, how much of a credible threat could Rollins be when he needed the help of the likes of Noble & Mercury? Now I know Rollins is one hell of a wrestler but the most he ever looked like a badass during his WWE run (excluding NXT) was when he was a part of The Shield. Truthfully, I find him fine as he is and still to this day, the most entertaining member who was a part of The Shield.

I think Seth should retain however if Seth has to lose just so Sting could be added to the WWE Title history then Seth can just win it back at the following PPV.

This could be done oh so well where everyone comes out on top. Its this simple.....
After a brutal battle between Sting & Rollins, Sheamus comes down to cash in his MITB much like Rollins himself did. The only problem is this time Sting beat Sheamus and wins the title. Rollins then has won the title without beating the champion as well as losing the title without being beat. This will then enrage both Rollins & Triple H. Rollins by feeling he never got credit from The Authority for being the champion and from Triple H for Rollins seemingly "dropping the ball". Triple H then will use a hired gun (Randy Orton? Maybe a heel turn for Roman Reigns which I like better) who will extract revenge on Sheamus (lets be serious, nobody likes him so he can easily be used as a stepping stone). Then the hired gun of Triple H goes after Sting and wins the title back. Meanwhile, Rollins continues wanting his title rematch only for Triple H to keep denying him because he dropped the ball. Rollins then goes on to win the Royal Rumble and is launched into a feud with Triple H's hired gun. Your Wrestlemania main event could be that "big win" that Rollins desperately needs to put him over the top as a face which is essentially what he is as he is being cheered much more then being booed.
