Well if Charlotte had been in the match, it would've been better because Charlotte is better than both Banks and Bayley. I applaud you for daring so-to-speak, to create this thread. I'm with you - some of the the comments, I've read regarding that match - particularly in that Bayley thread - are almost laughable. Whats hilarious is that the next Takeover womens match, Everyone will talk about how amazing that match is and how its the best womens match ever. Its been the trend the last 3-4 Takeover events. People are just letting their excitement and biased point of view cloud their judgement. Maybe i'm being a realist since i watched this from a neutral mindset. I'm not a huge obsessive fan of either girl so i was able to catch alot of the sloppiness and botches that others didnt see. It was good but it wasnt a 5 star match in the slightest. If people call that a 5 star match, then how come Owens/Cena 1 and 2 arent in that list? Or Bryan/Reigns? Or Rollins/Lesnar/Cena? Or Cena/Cesaro? Or even Banks/Lynch? All those matches blew Bayley/Banks out of the water this year alone. Okay. Let me try this again, since I had to explain it in another thread. First. Yes, I firmly believe this was the best women's match ever. I said it at TakeOver: R-Evolution when Sasha wrestled Charlotte because I had never given a women's match four stars and I gave that one. I didn't think they would top that. They did at TakeOver: Rival in the fatal four way, which I gave ****1/4. They did again at Unstoppable when I gave Becky/Sasha ****1/2. I honestly even wrote a long article about how I thought this was the best. It was topped last night. I don't say it to be cool. They legit top themselves. Second. It's not about being obsessed and not being able to see botches. Outside of Bayley nearly breaking her neck, the only move that didn't come off well, was Sasha trying to pull Bayley's arm over the top. It looked awkward. Third. Part of having a five star match in my eyes is that a match has to have everything, including atmosphere and emotional investment. Cena/Cesaro was barely at **** for me, Bryan/Reigns was ****1/4. Both were great. Rollins/Cena/Lesnar was my favorite WWE match all year until last night. Banks/Lynch was second but was missing that major atmosphere that this match would end up having. Owens/Cena 1 was incredible, but lacked a hot crowd. Owens/Cena 2 wasn't as good as the first, but had a better crowd. Lastly, this is what makes wrestling fun. I can consider a match five stars and you don't have to. I can praise it and you don't have to. That's perfectly fine. I saw people say Sting/HHH was a MOTY candidate. I thought it was atrociously bad but I didn't make a thread about it being overrated. I am more invested in Sasha Banks matches than any other wrestler in the entire world, so maybe I will view her matches on a higher level than someone who isn't a fan, though I did see people who weren't fans of these girls call it a MOTY candidate. Point blank, everyone views wrestling different. Your MOTY isn't mine and mine isn't yours. No big deal. No need to start a thread about it or try to crap on the people who think differently.

Its a great match, and what match doesn't have a botch haha Botches that are easily disguised are common and often overlooked but a horribly botched hurricanrana that almost resulted in someone crippling themselves, thats pretty damn hard to overlook.

Oh the hypocrisy of the people calling out the OP. On one hand telling him that mocking their opinion and being condescending isn't cool and then telling him that his opinion sucks and doesn't matter at all (and getting multiple likes for it)

Couldn't have posted this in the Bayley/Banks Overrated thread huh?
Where's the guy that called the one dude an attention whore for making that thread?

Had Nikki and Paige had this match. Exact same match. (I know Nikki couldn't, but hypothetically) say the match was absolutely brilliant. Then Paige or Nikki botched that hurricanrana. People would be furious and flipping out about how terrible they are.

Funny how yet the OP says the match was great only doesn't agree with it being match of the whatever, and gets ridiculed, getting called a loser and an attention whore and his opinion sucks. The dude says the match was great just doesn't believe it's MOTY. He shares the same opinion that it was a great match yet the marks say his opinion sucks for the latter?

marino13 you may want to come by here before things get uglier. Or don't; watching trolls get warnings is fun too.

There was absolutely no need for this thread.

Anyway, this whole thing is ridiculous. As I said earlier, people see their MOTY differently and that's fine. No need for the OP to make a whole new thread about it when there's already a Sasha/Bayley one. No need for anyone to call him names for thinking this way.

Thanks for actually making a valid point. I agree that the atmosphere and a women's match co main eventing a 15k+ crowd PPV event(Ill call it a PPV event since its basically the same size crowd as a regular PPV and a special on the network) and completely delivering makes it a special match. I still believe Lynch/Banks was the better match from a wrestling standpoint, If they had that match in this atmosphere, It would have been unreal but they had that tiny crowd that took away the "big time" feeling that Banks/Bayley had in their advantage.

Personally I think atmosphere has a lot to do with a match's quality. I don't think Cena/Punk would have been 5* if it wasn't for the atmosphere in Chicago that night. I haven't watched Becky/Sasha in a few months now, but atmosphere (and story) is why I put Bayley/Sasha over it.

Except there is no other Bayley/Banks thread. There's a Bayley apprectiation thread which I'm sure one or two specific people would just go nutssss at someone trying to degrade the match in there. It's completely appropriate to have a seperate negative thread and spare the goddamn "appreciation" thread from all this.
