We at Ring of Honor are extremely shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of the legendary "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. A true icon in professional wrestling, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was a silent adviser to many, passing on his invaluable wisdom. An amazing man who will be missed by those who were lucky enough to work with or get to know him. We extend our sincerest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Anyone know the name/artist of the song WWE used for the Piper tribute?
I thought it was okay.... not their best tribute ever, but fitting....
I still can't believe he's gone, it just doesn't seem real. I feel like he's gonna come out & say "gotcha" or something...

The tribute was nice but I was expecting a lot more considering how much Piper has done for the business.
They should've got a live bagpipe band to come down the ramp and make their way around the ring, just like his entrance at the first WrestleMania.
Piper deserved more.

So, they show a replay in case you missed it. It's a nice video tribute and all but he deserved more.
We should be hearing some classic Piper stories or something.

I'm surprised at how much this has affected me. I got pretty emotional when I first heard that he was gone. I was at work but thankfully I was working late -- and alone. It still doesn't feel real. Everytime time I see his picture, an article online, whenever someone talks about him... I don't know... it's like my brain can't comprehend that Rowdy Roddy Piper is dead. Even typing feels wrong.
If someone had a crystal ball and could've told me that Dusty Rhodes and Roddy Piper would die around the same time, I'd guess that if I were going to have this reaction it would've been to Dusty's death. I'm a mega-fan of both but I always thought I loved Dusty more. I guess I was wrong. Although I never would have thought that I'd have this reaction at all.

Not sure if anyone has posted either of these matches yet, but these are two of my very favorites. Both kind of exemplify that chaotic humor that made me love him so much from the very first time I saw him. I'd like to think that WWE will put together another DVD for him someday and I hope these two matches make it on there.

Yeah, it's like you almost expect him to suddenly show up, with that famous grin, and say something like, 'now didn't I tell you when you thought you had the answers, I change the question.' It's still crazy to think how close we lost, two of the nicest people, and biggest contributers to the business, both in the ring and behind the scenes, with Roddy and Dusty.

Anyone know the name/artist of the song WWE used for the Piper tribute? According to Marc Middleton - WrestlingInc. com - the song was "Hold On Tight" by Greg Holden.

I just cannot, cannot comprehend a world of wrestling..... without Roddy Piper in it. I can't imagine another "Old School Raw" without Piper..... I can't imagine no more Piper's Pits..... no more podcasts.... no more Legends House... he's always been such a fixture in wrestling, I just can't wrap my brain around his death & accept it.... It just still seems so unreal....

I was hoping they would have showed some classic highlight throughout the show. There are so many they could have filled all 3 hours with them.

Rob Feinstein is selling art prints of Piper with fake signatures. He bought them at the weekend, signed them himself, and is trying to sell them on Facebook. I was hoping they would have showed some classic highlight throughout the show. There are so many they could have filled all 3 hours with them. Hard to do WM1 without showing Hogan though.

I skimmed through an article where he claims that isn't true. And either X-Pac is baking his story or he's claiming that X-Pac can back his story. I kinda tune out when Rob Feinstein is involved in anything. Why does this guy get to do whatever he wants? How had he not been blackballed from the industry?
