I dunno, I think it'll be just a typical WWE PPV, some amazing matches and then some bad ones. I'll wait to see the card before judging.

I honestly see that as matches being longer rather than more matches. I dont mind Cesaro vs Owens being long, Rollins and Cena will be alright and Taker Lesnar is more telling a story than just a match, and the other matches wont bring it down that much, so either way I'm happy. If it is more matches I'm still happy to watch people I normally wouldn't watch to see them. Imo ill be okay either way, besides I'd assume Sting will be involved somehow other than a match.

"Card Subject to change."
Sting could still be booked, but let's be honest here, Sting is far past his prime. If he were to have a match, the match would have a hard time living up to the rest of the card, much less the 3 Shield vs Wyatt Family matches. Would it be a fun little appearance? Yes. Would it draw in more casual fans? Yes. Would it be a good match? I very much doubt it.
With what WWE is trying to make SummerSlam be, I doubt they aren't going to be able to throw something together. Though we did just have the most lackluster build for a Wrestlemania ever (and the card was only slightly better), who knows.

I hope Sting shows up and points a bat at someone.

If they actually go through with Rollins vs Cena, and there is no Sting
Then yeah. It probably won't be that great. We all know Cena will tie flairs record. Destroying another awesome young talents career in the process. And wtf is sting doing rotting away? Why let him get older? Why not use him while they can ?

Meh. It'll be a show. I can't imagine Taker/Lesnar will be that great. Cena/Rollins will be a good match if it's that route. I personally don't care yet, rather watch the PWG that'll be coming out.

I HOPE New Day will be in action.
Lucha Dragons vs. New Day vs. Prime Time Players? That match will save the show. PLEASE.
Oh and Kevin Owens vs Cesaro. Pretty please.

Personally I'm glad Sting isn't currently involved. I'm still under the impression that the only logical explanation for having Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar at Summerslam is so that Sting can interfere and set up the big Match at Wrestlemania 32. If this does happen, then it will get so much more of a reaction that it would if Sting had already been on Raw the previous week and wrestled in a fairly meaningless Match earlier on in the Card. However, I'm still baffled as to why they have gone with the 4 hour extension when the rest of the Card is so rushed and scrapped together. I know that Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar is selling this PPV alone, but the lack of long term planning into the rest of the Card is a bit embarrassing.

As of right now yeah but since its wwe I have no faith in their ability to have some real storyline development in the coming weeks

This year gave us a lot of awesome PPVs, and I hope they keep it up with SummerSlam.

WrestleMania is four hours, they have about seven matches on the card. WWE can easily fill up that time slot with SummerSlam. Rock may show up, Austin may show up, maybe Michaels, probably some celebrities, NXT stars may get some screen time in a backstage shot.
Matches: Brock vs Taker Rusev/Summer vs Dolph/Lana Either Cesaro vs Owens or Cesaro vs Rollins Ambrose/Reigns vs Wyatts Divas Battle Royal or Championship Scramble Elimination Match Prime Time Players vs Lucha Dragons/Matadores/New Day Stardust vs Neville with Green Arrow appearance.
Show should be good.

Who's to say what would make it a failure? And yes, the word is a FAILURE, not "a fail."
Sting sure as hell ain't making the difference between a boom or bust here. And Cena never misses a show, ever. I promise you he'll be on Raw this week. And even if he wasn't, Brock is proof that you don't need to be on every week to build a match. (What more could they do to build the match anyways? Cena already beat him one on one... but I digress).
The only thing in my eyes that would make this a failure is if massive amounts of people cancelled their Network subscriptions like after the Rumble. I just don't see that coming when we basically know how this is going to turn out.

We all know Cena will tie flairs record. Destroying another awesome young talents career in the process. Oh dear. Rollins' career is destroyed when he loses the belt?
