It's not the end of the world. We went nearly 5 long years without hogan, and went around 7 months of having hogan figs. We can't do anything and neither can Hogan or Mattel.

Personally I'm more upset that Mattel took their sweet time and didn't release it sooner. I get from a business standpoint why they would wait, but also Hogan never seems to last in WWE for very long and I think Mattel should of considered that instead of making figured like American Made. Hence why Jakks put out as many Hogans as they did in the Classics line in a short time. DM 1 should have been Classic Hogan, DM 2 should have been Sting, DM 3 should have been NWO Hogan and DM 4 should have been Razor. In between the DM's should have been two or three Elite Hogans. Once they got out the needed Hogan figures there still would have been options for later (85 Hogan sans accessories as a Flashback, different NWO gear as an Elite or Flashback, AWA Hogan, Biker Hogan). I got the DM Hogan and really that was all I wanted. To many other holes Mattel needs to fill and I have no issues with collecting even if Mattel said they were never going to make any of my wants.

I know what you mean man. My anger is aimed right at Mattel. With the "SnakeGate" issue going on with Mattels MOtU classics line, where all Sub holders were promised half of an action figure that was tied into the sub ( which can't be cancled), has now been altered into an additional figure we have to buy because " It was the most economical way we could get you this figure" was there response. When a brand manager ( ToyGuru) comes out and says you will get this figure with no additional costs, and then you find out that was a lie and you'll be paying $26 plus $10 shipping from Digital River ( which is a whole other cluster ) the they lost all future sales from me. Snake Mountain was a guaranteed sale from me. Not now. Both of 2016 Subs were also guaranteed buys from me... Not now. As far as the WWE branch of Mattel... Well, I'm pissed the nWo Hogan didn't get pushed to the front of the line. Hogan should have replaced Razor. That way we would have had Sting and Hogan in 4 months time apart from eachother. The RSC figure was a Piss Poor choice. The HOF 2 figure was also a piss poor choice. At the end if the day, as a collector, the nWo Hogan was my gold standard. The only other two on that higj of a mountain for me are Raven ( WCW) amd Goldberg (WCW). I know neither of those will hapoen anytime soon. I just dropped $75 on a nWo Macho Man, $35 on Giant, and $75 on Nash, plus the $26 for Hall all ready for that Hogan. nWo is null and void without the leader of the pack. So, at this point, my collecting will shift to the ROH figures. As far as Mattel goes, my MOTU money stays with me, and my WWE money will linger only towards WCW figures and a few of the current Elite stars and NXT figures. This was all out of Mattel's hands. So I can't be mad at them. However, that Hogan should have been released a year ago. Doink should have been that Hogan. Hell, there are olenty of guys who he could have traded spots with, but only time will tell. Once that Hogan gets the green light, I'll climb back aboard the USS Mattel. But until then, the completist in me is dead. And, honestly, the fun is dead. Why get excited over figures of wrestlers that could up and then we see something we will never get?

its certainly a bummer.....but its just 1 figure. An important figure, yes. But in the grand scheme of things we're still getting elites of 92' British Bulldog, The Godfather, Surfer Stings, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Tyson Kidd, IRS and Million Dollar Man.
we don't even know whats in elite 39 or elite 40. We don't know the other 2 figures in HOF series 3.
*Ringside Fest hype intensifies*

Its Hulk freaking Hogan. He is synonymous with WWE and wrestling in general. He will be back, just give it a few months until everyone moves on to something else to be pissed off and butthurt about. Until then, lets all..

These Hogan threads are getting ridiculous. I wanted the figure as much as anyone else, but I don't see why people can blame WWE for distancing themselves from Hogan at this time. Then again I'm sure most here don't own a business and are just worried about the figure, but as someone who is in school for business management WWE did the right thing. Personally I'm more upset that Mattel took their sweet time and didn't release it sooner. I get from a business standpoint why they would wait, but also Hogan never seems to last in WWE for very long and I think Mattel should of considered that instead of making figured like American Made. Technically American Made Hogan was requested by Ringside Collectibles in that specific attire. So that's not really Mattel's fault.

I agree. I kinda feel the same. Wwe programming hasn't been the slightest bit interesting and I just got e36 and wasn't even excited. I'm just down on wrestling as a whole. I was looking forward to getting hulks and adding other characters around him.

What NWO merchandise was pulled? The 2-Pack is still coming, Hall is still coming. That is the only merchandise I care about. The NWO is still on the WWE website. I would guess they are only pulling things Hogan would get a royalty check from. But nWo figs without hogan doesn't sound exciting tho.

Hogan's lawsuit against Gawker doesn't go to trial until March 2016. Who knows what more might come out at that trial and how long it will last. WWE won't even think about lifting Hogan's ban until that trial is over.

Yes..we should have had a hogan in every single line since he came back..
Wwe should have just signed him to a merch deal and that's it. they had to of known this was going to happen eventually.

It's disappointing for sure, but we almost had no Hogan at all. He could've stayed on at TNA (although that probably would've ran them into the ground) or even just not signed. When Mattel first started the figures, nothing was certain. And going on six years later that is still true. It sucks to have been so close only to have it torn away but at least we got some Hogans. No figure is a safe bet. And as far as WCW based figures go, it's always been a crapshoot. We will likely always have the glaring omission of Goldberg for instance.

Hogan sells merch, and if it sells, wwe and mattel will find a way to get Hollywood into the line. Might not be January as expected, but it will happen eventually.

While visiting Nick in jail - Hogan said, “You know that God gave you this vibe and this, this, energy that you and I are going to live forever, bro — I just hope we don’t come back as a couple, I don’t want to say it — blizz-ack gizz-uys (carny for “black guys”) — you know what I’m saying?”
