Firstly I'll say on the whole, Mattel do a great job.
However, sometimes we see things that irritate us where they have got something wrong with a figure you've really wanted.
Some of mine are Mr Perfect's mustard attire, Rick Rudes short hair, Undertaker with no Tie, choice of face/expression for Warrior DM (stops it being one of the greatest figures ever in my view).
What are people's biggest niggles or things that have even stopped you buying a figure you had been waiting for? Or got you hoping they remake someone?

IMHO, the biggest botch by Mattel is the poor body choice for Ryback. He should be much thicker and a little taller. It is very irksome that they keep releasing new figures of him using the same mold. It has definitely kept me from buying his figures.
A close second is the Legends Mr. Perfect which is almost as tall as the Undertaker. It is a major scaling problem for a line that usually gets it right.
Not necessarily a "botch" as it is a good figure but still somewhat questionable is the Legends Snuka in tights/boots. Snuka in trunks and bare feet is an iconic look and that is what they should have released.

A huge "botch" is Roddy Piper's facial scan on his elite. Its just terrible. Sucks, cuz hes such an icon.
Another one is Batista's boots on his return figure. They rushed his figure and the entire thing was underwhelming.

This is more about manufacturing than Mattel's doing, but I just noticed that the Ted DiBiase Jr basic I've had for like 2 years is missing the paint app on one side of his trunk mold. It's painted currently on the leg where it tucks up underneath the trunk mold. The entire logo is there. But on the trunk mold itself, half of it is gone on one side. Brand new figure, too.
As for Mattel, I can't for the life of me understand why Roman Reigns still doesn't have a closed right fist. His signature move is the superman punch. He has no other moves that would require him to have a semi-open fist. Even his open left hand bugs me. When I pose him on the turnbuckle with his arms raised, there's that open hand making it look weird. His signature pose is showing his fist. I don't understand why none of the Shield figures had a closed right fist. That's their signature pose!

Not really a botch, but the design of Elite 23 JBL. Seems the figure is too small, has a bad headscan, and the hair is too dark for me. One of the first Elites I purchased when I started collecting Mattels. I've wanted a JBL since back in the Jakks days, but I consider it the worst Mattel I own.

The new DM Taker. Not happy with the choice and feel they could of put that figure in the Elite line without the cape. Should of had another DM figure in the works I believe in case things fell through. And now we might get another rushed decision/figure to replace Hollywood Hogan.

Basic Mach Man boots. I was going to buy a B48 Hogan for his tall yellow boots to replace the BP Macho Man's shorter yellow boots. I didn't do it, though. You can go broke trying to fix every mistake.
