I want the figure, but if it means getting someone that we have never had, then it is what it is ...
Who knows, it's possible that Bill could now have the right to go ahead with the origina DM that he had in place before having to re-release the SDCC Ministry Undertaker instead.
We'll get the Hollywood Hogan, eventually, because they can't erase him forever.
He'll be back, brothers.

I'm pessimistic. Mattel might not even be with WWE when and if Hogan comes back.

Already posted in another thread. But man this breaks my heart. I already removed tough enough from my dvr. Watched 10 mins of raw before I turned it off and I could barely watch total divas tonight. I got brand new e36 figs yesterday n I'm not even excited. I'm just turned off by wrestling right now. What really PMO last night, was that Paige was sat in Hogan's seat. This immediately sprang to mind:

I don't wanna insult anyone at Mattel but how many times can they make these stupid mistakes. Everyone wanted Hollywood hogan,it should of been out.mattel didn't even really make the perfect hogan. They killed the legends line the first time by doing the same thing and giving us attires people didn't want or remember. Here we go with defining moments

And seriously there is absolutely nothing wrong with Hall of Fame Hogan that is a great figure and ironically one of my favorite Hogan outfits now the flashback Hogan we got an elite 34 should have been Hall of Fame Hogan and Hall of Fame Hogan should have been nwo... but I'm sure that in the long run Hogan will be back it just may be a while and we'll get our Hollywood Hogan

There was no way anyone could predict that, but man it feels like we got a lot of unnecessary fringe Hogan figures like the HOF and RSC Hogans instead of versions that were highly demanded like the nWo, a 2002 Hulk Still Rules and a 1990-1992 era Hogan. Hope this gives Mattel some insight that nothing is a given with these legends and it's better to get the most in-demand versions out right away instead of milking it out for later. not only fringe figures, WAY too many versions of the same figures! E34, Sig Series, and WM31 Basic are all basically the same look. THREE figures of a 2014 Hogan? Basic 48 and DM - same figure and look, other than the Elite having accessories and more articulation. so that was THREE Hogan spots somewhat wasted by just redoing already existing figures/looks. at the very least, one of those Basic slots could've been an nWo Basic Hollywood.

Hollywood Hogan was going to be available by the very end of this year, it was literally on its way. It was pegged for the Royal Rumble spot, which means we would have been able to get it in about three months. I don't think anyone could have predicted that something from several years ago was going to come up and cause this situation. Stop being so butt hurt towards Mattel about them wasting spots. Half of you crying that they wasted Hogan spots, weren't crying when you were picking them up in stores. Yeah in hindsight to any situation anyone could have a better answer, but literally two weeks ago everyone was stoked about him being the Royal Rumble DM.

They killed the legends line the first time by doing the same thing and giving us attires people didn't want or remember. Here we go with defining moments Bill tries too hard to be different. Sometimes it's just better to keep it simple and give people what they want. Instead of just putting out Jimmy Snuka the way everyone wanted him, Bill decided that an obscure attire nobody wanted or remembered was the way to go. 5 years later we still don't have a proper Jimmy Superfly Snuka. Bill decided to put out that horrible Sgt. Slaughter Legends figure as well, because his iconic look is in Army colors, Bill decided to be radical and do an attire that I don't even know where it's from? It took 5 years to correct that mistake in the HOF line at Target. Bill botched all of the Hulk Hogan figures. Like you said, they never actually gave us a Hogan that is the way everyone remembers him. Signature Series, WM Basic, and Elite 34 were essentially the same attire of current Hulk Hogan. Basic 48 and DM were the same attire as well (WM3). HOF2 was Wrestlemania 9 for some reason, I don't know of all Hogan's attires why they would choose that? So at the end of the day, we never got an early 90's Hogan, we never got Hollywood Hogan, and we never got 2002 Hulk Still Rules. Bill needs to stop trying to save the big attires to build suspense. Obscure and forgotten attires are just going to sit on the shelves and disappoint people. The first figure Mattel released should have been an early 90's Hogan. That should have been in the regular Elite line as a Flashback instead of Elite 34. Then, DM should have been Hollywood Hogan. Then, Hall of Fame Series 2 should have been 2002 Hulk Still Rules. Then, if they wanted to do "current" Hulk Hogan, they still could have kept Signature Series and WM31. Hell, even Basic 48 could have stayed the same. But DM, Elite 34, and HOF2 were major attire botches by Bill.

I maintain the feeling that WM9 Hogan should've been the RSC Exclusive, with 2003 Hogan being in the HOF line

Well that's a big kick in the balls that this isn't coming out now.
I get it and I'm not condoning anything Hogan said BUT I would say that a lot of baby boomers (whether they want to admit it or not) are pretty racist. AND most fathers (while they might not say outloud what Hogan said) would feel the same way if their white daughter brought home someone that wasn't white. I feel bad for the guy because he's being crucified for something that I would say is fairly common among people his age.
P.S. Why does Michael P.S. Hayes still have a job if this is such a huge issue?

Bill planned Hollywood exactly 1 year from the first Hogan release. It's not like he waited as long between Legends Slaughter and HOF Slaughter. You really can't blame him, no one saw this coming. If Bill put out all those attires we want in 12 months where can they really go with Hogan for the next few years? Edit: I find it ridiculously ironic that we needed 6 more months to get a Hollywood Hogan and these reports of information from 8 years ago just surfaced. Whats 6 more months? Lol

What irritates me the most about all of this is we get a definitive no from twitter and bill couldn't address this himself to us. At least say yeah... No hogan, but as a way to make it up I have so and so coming out in his place now. ...he's probably terrified to come on here... True - we were gladly picking them up. But would we MUCH RATHER have had NWO and Hulk Still Rules Hogans than the E34, RSC, HOF figures? Heck YES. And again - it's true that no-one could have predicted this situation... but given it took Mattel 5 YEARS to be able to make Hogan figures in the first place - and also given Hogan and WWE's fragile on/off relationship since the '90's - why wait SO LONG to bring out his iconic attires? The NWO figure was a HUIGE want for most fans.... and they had plenty of time to make it (and the Still Rules figure too).
