2 Fall Match
WFWF International Championship / No.1 Contender for WFWF Heavyweight Championship
---------------------------------------------------
Joshua Dean vs. Joe Bishop (c) vs. Samael Ahriman
A main event that could well change the face and future of the WFWF. Three of the brightest rising stars in all of professional wrestling find themselves standing on the precipice of the atmosphere. A victory here will shoot them beyond that and right into the orbit every man, woman and Yukio wants to exist in……..the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship picture. What started as a battle over the International Championship, twisted and turned over the last few weeks until it ended here: Two falls to a finish.
One will decide who leaves as the International Champion.
The second, a guaranteed shot at the World Heavyweight champ on the next Pay Per View.
It’s hard to say which of these prizes is more valuable, the 100% guarantee of becoming a recognised champion or the risky opportunity of immortality. Simply earning a chance to fight for the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship does not mean you’ll be leaving with it.
On this night we’ll get to see each of these men pushed to their limits, something that has already cost Daniel Kirkbride dearly, as he no doubt watches from his hospital bed.
Decisions will be made. Will Samael Ahriman pick up his first ever singles title in the WFWF? Will Joshua Dean reclaim a belt he last held eight years ago? Will Joe Bishop be able to retain with the odds stacked against him?
Who will be set to go one on one with Drakz at the next Pay Per View?
Are any of these men capable of doing both?
Questions need answers, and answers we’ll get, under the Sakura.
Tag Team Tournament Final
WFWF Tag Team Championship
---------------------------------------------------
Drakz & Tugarin Zmey vs. Nikki Dean & Trace Demon
So it all comes down to this. Six teams, seven matches, a whole load of talent and it comes down to two of the most unusual teams imaginable. Following the WFWF Tag Team Championship’s being vacated as a result of Dave Demento’s release a tournament was declared which included, alongside established team Hollywood Unhinged 2.0, five randomly drawn together teams which included these two odd pairings. Drakz and Tugarin Zmey, the World Champion and the dragon, have worked together surprisingly well to dominate their opponents despite the ominous presence of DMK in the background at all times. With DMK’s links to Michael Kyzer, it’s been very interesting to watch Drakz and Tugarin work their way through the tournament with displays that has made everyone wonder if anyone can beat them. Their opponents look to do just that, but they’re just as odd. Nikki Dean, as part of the Saviours of Salvation, worked to topple Trace Demon’s Final Revolution just months ago. Now they find themselves on the same team and, surprisingly, making a very effective unit, holding victories over not only Michael Kyzer & Ante Whitner but Hollywood Unhinged 2.0 as well. Both teams have looked highly effective and the simple fact is that this match might just come down to which of them can work together effectively.
Of course when you’ve got Drakz and Trace Demon in the same ring together, and then throw a Dragon and the National Champion in there to boot, can you really expect things to go to plan?
Rise of an Eagle
---------------------------------------------------
Ante Whitner vs. Michael Kyzer
Two men thrown together by a lottery pick as entrants in the Tag Team Tournament. Now they stand across the ring from one another. Whilst both have had their share of success as singles competitors it seems their team was never meant to be. Their elimination from the tourney though was underlined by the actions of Whitner. While it seemed Whitner was being groomed as Kyzer’s heir apparent, he chose to betray a man he had started to call his master with a sick chair shot to the skull. Michael Kyzer has stated his return to the WFWF was for the sole reason of running through every “good guy” on the roster, and now he seems to have created one in Ante Whitner. Whitner is by no means the archetype of a saint, but any man who crushes Michael Kyzer with a weapon of any sort has to be regaled as a hero of some kind right? The momentum gained from a victory here would be huge for either man. Michael Kyzer wins, he continues on his raid of the WFWF, holding a middle finger in the face of the WFWF World Heavyweight Champion. If Ante wins? He joins an elite few and immediately enters title contention.
Here Come the Girls
---------------------------------------------------
Scarlett Quinn & Penny Shannon vs. Hollywood Unhinged 2.0 (Jayson Garrett & “Diamond” Jack Sabbath)
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Scarlett Quinn in a WFWF ring. Since Penny Shannon turned her back on her and Trace Demon tore the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship from around her waist Scarlett has vanished. Now we know where she went – Japan. And now, after all this time, she’s officially back for what might be one night only. After a brief altercation backstage between Penny Shannon and Hollywood Unhinged 2.0, and Hollywood Unhinged’s following elimination from the tag team tournament, we got a match. And with Penny Shannon being allowed to pick her own partner she picked one she’s very, very familiar with. But questions remain, will their past problems cause friction between Penny and Scarlett and either way will they be enough to topple the redemption seeking Hollywood Unhinged 2.0? After all Jayson Garrett and Diamond Jack Sabbath are seething over their failure in the tag title tournament despite getting the second chance as a result of the triple threat qualifier and know full well that only a victory here will suffice if they ever want to be taken seriously as a pairing. There’s a lot on the line for both teams, most notably momentum, pride and the adulation of the rabid Japanese wrestling fans.
Japanese Death Match!
---------------------------------------------------
Joey Raid vs. Randel Benjamin
At Divine Wind Randel Benjamin had arrived to thank the Japanese fans for all of their years of support. No one is entirely sure why he felt the need for this, but if anyone took more umbrage to it than most it was one Joey Raid. Raid hasn't been in the WFWF all that long but one thing he has made very clear is he HATES death matches, but more so HATES death match wrestlers. As a man who has made his career in Japan fighting among barbed wire and landmines there are few men who could present more of a target for these emotions than Benjamin. Tempers flared, fists were thrown but most importantly a gauntlet was tossed to the floor by Raid. Even in retirement Benjamin isn't one to back down from a fight and now here we are in the Tokyo Dome and it's going to get messy!
