As a loose collector I don't care if they put them in clear sealed plastic bags. I'm a loose collector, but they can't put them in clear sealed plastic bags. It defeats the purpose of me opening my boxes, looking at the details, displaying my new figures for a few weeks, and then purchasing clear storage bags myself to put my figures in.

Going back to the size of the packaging, I think the packaging with the most wasted space is the legends line. I got my hands on a Series 1 Steve Austin today and I am blown away with how much space is wasted here.

We'll probably see a new package design soon anyway. It changes at least once a year.

I don't collect MOC, so I'd like to see smaller packaging. Not sure that'd stop theft, though. As others pointed out, people get real creative when they really want to steal something lol. When your current elites have real easy ways to re-seal, it's almost like inviting people to steal figs/do swaps. Everytime I get a new elite, I pretty much maul the packaging and could still re-seal it to look presentable if I wanted.

But you're right too much bubble

They will always find a way to swap out figures. I've seen plenty of swaps in all types of line for years going back to the mid 90's. nail on the head. right there. if they want it that much they will get it. I have taken items back to the store for one reason or another.they don't even take a second glance.

Most lines you see this happen in are high collector rate. DC Marvel Gi.joe Wwe Things bring stolen in store. . Sure kids.... but repacks, I can't blame kids.

The packaging DOES NOT need to be altered. It's perfect the way it is. The problem is employees who handle the returns. These employees need to be more educated on the products in their store, rather than be ignorant and blindly accept a return that has The Rock in a Bray Wyatt Elite box.
Also, the design of the current Elite packaging is damn near perfect. It's the best design Mattel has had since the first Elite series. I hope it doesn't change any time soon.

If thieves want to steal, they will always find a way, no matter how much they change the packaging.

If a change in packaging lowered the cost, I'd be interested. Otherwise, just leave them.
