That looks kind of stupid to me, but my Son, who the target audience is, will probably ask for it for his Birthday.

I can think of a few ways I can use this. If I see it, I'll probably get it.

My kids went ape poop crazy over it in the store just an hour ago. I will admit it does look fun, I may get them each one and they can combine pieces to make a weird stacked war games type arena....ok so I can make one.

With 3 sets of these rings and a few cage pieces, you could make the WCW Triple Cage match!! See how stupid that soundsβ¦but our kids would love it!!

Easy pass for me. In fact, it would've been an easy pass for me when I was 10. I hated gimmicks then. I hate them now. Most kids do, too. This will rot on store shelves like all the gimmicky Super Strikers and FlexForce crap before it.

I was talking to one if my freinds the other day about the gimmick lines and none of them ever work.

Wait a second!! Does this ring come with a Championship Title Belt!? Yes. You can see on the box where it lists the pieces of the set that it does come with a title belt. Whether it's new logo or old logo I can't tell, but it's definitely a basic belt. Also, 40 bucks, guy.

This will rot on store shelves like all the gimmicky Super Strikers and FlexForce crap before it. right? I was talking to one if my freinds the other day about the gimmick lines and none of them ever work. Yeah, I just don't understand toy companies fascination with toy gimmicks. I think they THINK kids like them, but I can't think of any kid who bought a toy (when I was a kid or now) because it had a gimmick. They never cared. Because kids have imagination. They just want a toy of their favorite characters. I think it's just a marketing ploy for parents or grandparents who see it and think, "Oh, what a neat trick!" These are the same people who buy terrible video games for gifts because they think "It looks like fun!" No it isn't. It's terrible. You are terrible. I just wanted a toy without gimmicks which is why I liked the Star Wars figures in the 90's. No gimmicks. I was also a big fan of the Marvel toys then but so many of them had dumb gimmicks and I just wanted to be like, "STOP! STOP DOING THAT! They don't need slashing action! I just want a Wolverine with elbows that bend!" /rant

Oh, I hate to be one to post in an old(even by a few day) old thread, but I actually picked this set up on a whim and while I agree it's more geared toward a child audience, who will make up absurd structures and what not. It is kinda fun, sure, it is a bit of a lie when they say "endless rings", but you can make some interesting structures. Not just outlandish ones, but some sensible and realistic approaches to the structures. And, while it may be cheaper to buy the parts elsewhere, you can use some of these things on the ASR, such as the long pieces to make an Ultimate X structure or a scaffold with some creative thinking.
I agree it's not for everyone, especially at 40 bucks, but I feel as I got my moneys worth, even if it is more of a novelty thing than anything else.
