Yeah, they kind of went cheap on the belt. Machos belt was the obvious best choice don't know how they didn't use it instead. I'm not a real big fan of the HOF 2 Hogan. Just looks like something they slapped together in my opinion. The DM hogan is the best hogan they've made to date I think.

I was a little surprised that they didn't use the Macho Man belt.
While I too am disappointed that it's lacking some detail (the buckle! lol) I still can't help but love the figure and am desperately waiting for it to arrive in the mail!

Edit: that's one of the best pictures I've seen of the HoF Hogan. He actually doesn't look too scrawny here.

I think the fig looks great. Belt is a bit bulky but not major.

Was Macho's belt a hard plastic? I'm guessing they made Hogan's weight belt like a title strap so you could whip people.

Yes, incredibly. On the plus side its a relatively minor flaw in an otherwise amazing figure.

Your obviously right, it's wrong, if Hasbro could do weight belts right in 1991 I'm sure Mattel can do one now, the Jakks belt buckle would have done the job too

Savages belt has fringe on the back hogan doesn't so even though the front would look better the back would be jacked up.

^Yep. The Savage belt looks great from the front but with the fringe going down, it wouldn't be right at all.
Here's hoping they redesign this belt for when they do Hollywood Hogan and 2002 return Hogan.

Hogan looked "scrawny" because he wasn't on steroids like he was earlier in his career. Idk why there are several people making this comment.

This is how I have mine displayed. I know it isn't accurate and that part bothers me, but it just looks better with the belt "backwards": It would be nice to know though if that Savage belt fits around Hogan's waist.

I'm assuming you guys who say they should've used Macho's belt don't have the Macho figure. It has a bunch of fringe on the back of it. It's also a lot thinner because it's not a weight-lifting belt. It's just a belt. So, no. That belt wouldn't work.

The buckle would have been the right way to go. That being said, I think the way they did it looks fine. So much so, that even though I despised Hogan at WM9 I still kinda want this fig.
