I think if we stop buying elites, they will either lower the quality or lower the price. ...if we (meaning the public/everyone) stop buying Elites, Mattel stop making Elites. And no-one wants that. Migrate to England and come back to us. Absolutely... try paying over $30 for an Elite at retail - heck, we'd LOVE to only pay $20...

So I went into Target yesterday they rose their elite prices from 17.99, 19.99, and now to 20.30 all within 3 months. This is just getting insane. This isn't even for the main even elites or the special elites. This is just for normal elite prices. I know international is gonna say we have it made, but we don't. You guys make better minimum wages. Action figures should not be costing almost the price at video games. If they reach 23-25 dollars I think they will be shelf fillers. I'd rather use the basics for 9 and 10.00. Prices are getting out of control for all regions. Mattel and WWE need to address this. Tho TRU is still $15.99-$16.99 Sincerely, Liko $20 his like £12.50 we pay. £20 now for one figure. up to £40 if we want one of your hall of fame. don't give me that wage crap. we have boat loads of people coming from eastern europe. willing to work for far less. bringing the British wages down. christ what was the second war about.stopping invasion. you may think I am racist. but people are all human beings at the end of the day. with dignity.we all live on the same planet at the end of the day. but the fact of the matter is no one likes the english

It's not a price across the board. I live in Seattle and my parents live in North Carolina. Here the prices at Target would vary from store to store in the city. Some would sell them for $18 while others would sell for $22. I think now they all seem to be $20 again at all stores. But at the Target where my parents live, it's still like 17-18 bucks. Prices at their Wal-Mart and TRU are also always cheaper than at any of the Wal-Marts or TRUs I go to. Regardless, Target always has the highest prices, but they're always the only place I find anything good. Granted, I go there more frequently as I live a few blocks from it, but I haven't seen anything good (other than DM Hogan which I could have just got on Amazon) from TRU in 6 months that I hadn't gotten much earlier from Target or on Amazon.
I think it depends on a number of factors, mainly what the wages in the state you live in are and the cost of living in your city is. Seattle has higher prices on WWE figs than any of the same stores in the outlying cities.

My TRU Elites are $20, not $16-$17... This. TRU elite prices in NYC are 19.49 I went to NYC once as a kid. This was during the mid 90's. My folks took me to TRU (I think the one in Times Sqaure) so I could get some Star Wars or X-Men toys. They had nothing. They literally had tons of empty shelves of nothing but garbage movie tie-in toys and not even the good ones, let alone a good sized selection. It was the most disappointment I ever felt in my life and I've never had any interest in going to NYC ever again. You have all the sympathy I can possibly muster. It must be a nightmare trying to toy hunt in that city.

Remember the golden rule: Every time someone says "You may think I'm racist, but..." it's always followed by something derogatory.

Usually I get lucky in my local Kmart and TRU, having found elite 16 Nash and Elite 15 Yoko in both, but other stores are a struggle to find anything. I'm resorting to a lot of online now
