I guess it will be cool but like many have stated it would have been better had this happened 5 years or more ago.

Have any of you guys seen the match with Jay Briscoe? Joe is every bit as good as he once was, it was TNA that was past its prime...... Yes, and that's where he'd thrive. It was an okay match. Joe looked well past his prime to me. That's your opinion but take into consideration that he would have to tone his style down anyway and work a slower pace and i think he still has plenty of time to be a valuable asset to the company at the age of 37.

That's why I don't think he belongs. A toned down Samoa Joe is not one that I want to watch. His mic work isn't great and he's gotten a lot slower than he was 5-6 years ago. I'm not sure he can keep up with the top guys. He'll be a great midcarder, but his ceiling is so low.

This could be like Jericho coming in in 1999 and be huge or it could end up going the way of Chris Hero......

Hero just screwed himself over.

Odds are he'll kill it in NXT but be terribly misused on Raw and Smackdown.

Look at Finlay's WWE run he was in his late 40's and put on some masterpiece matches so there's no reason why Joe who is 10 years younger couldn't do the same.

I still don't care to see Samoa Joe in NXT or WWE.

I heard on some podcast that they originally wanted Hogan for Joe's spot in NXT.

I don't think he would have to slow down or tone much of anything down. He works a smash mouth style akin to what Sheamus is doing and compared to how he worked 5 or so years ago he definitely takes his time more now. I'm stoked for Joe in NXT! By the way, he just turned 36. He's only like 3 years older than Batista was when Batista debuted and Batista hadn't accomplished then what Joe brings to the table now. Just to give some perspective for you.

People keep acting like 37 is over the hill, but that's when Ric Flair hit his prime. I'm not saying Joe is Flair, but him being 37 isn't really a problem.
I agree it would have been better if he had come in 5-10 years ago, but I'm happy to see him work for WWE no matter when it is.
If only Johnny Ace had signed him the first time he tried for WWE.

For sure it would of been better earlier. But still seeing Joe finally WWE ring will be surreal. Guys like Zayn, Bálor etc could really get momentum from a win against Joe, I'm very exited.
