So a while back, I think at the second NXT Take over. Paul H. was there for the pre show and after for commentary. He kept saying he was there to recruit his next Paul Heyman guy.... or girl.... It looked as if he'd be bringing someone into the main roster very soon. I never heard anything else of this after that show. Anyone else remember this, or have any idea as to what happened with it?

I guess he didn't find anyone worthy of becoming the next "Paul Heyman Guy", like Curtis Axel and Ryback.
Or perhaps there was a conflict with Brock Lesnar? The Beast Incarnate is very monogamous. He only has room in his heart for one advocate at a time and demands the same kind of comitment from his partner.

The only guy I could see -some day- becoming a Heyman guy would be Corbin. He's got a lot of work to do though.

I think he was just saying it for the Hell of it. Heyman loves winding us up, remember?

Corey Graves as a Paul Heyman Guy would have been pretty cool.

Brock is the only guy Paul needs.

Unless you're Brock or Punk, Heyman ain't going to do jack for your career! Everyone is going to compare you to those two guys and no one can live up to that.

I still think WWE should actively be looking to build a stable around Heyman. Brock can be the key guy in the group, but Brock's never around and the show is better with Heyman on it. I'm not too particular about which guys they use but a tag team and an upper micarder to go along with Brock would be ideal. Graves would have been perfect but that hits right in the feels. Maybe an edgier babyface stable that can combat the Authority. This could also create a situation where Brock chases the title, which would be unique based on how dominate he has been.

Why does it have to a guy? They have Dana Brooke and Charlotte there to be Paul Heyman women...but they both suck.

I don't think there was much to the comment. Heyman was talking in character and that is all the further it was supposed to go.

Why does it have to a guy? They have Dana Brooke and Charlotte there to be Paul Heyman women...but they both suck. Because Anything attached to Paul Heyman is likely to be a relatively high profile act and WWE doesn't care about women's wrestling. So if a Diva is connected to Heyman, she's not even going to be involved in the actual Divas Division. The only time Divas ever get strong pushes is away from the division and then once it's time for them to actually wrestle, it looks like a "step down" (see AJ).

All I've heard is Heyman won't be back until Brock comes back
He kinda didn't help Ryback at all. Then, was involved with the complete derailing of Cesaro. Axel too. All some of my favorites. Not saying he did anything in particular. But him being paired with those three didn't help any of their careers in any way. When on paper it would seem perfect.

Every one of them is missing something from being the complete package. Cesaro has no charisma on his own, Axel is just overall awful and Ryback is another guy who is all around lacking a bit of everything. He can help a guy who is the complete package but just needs a way to take that next step when he's ready. Like an Ambrose or Wyatt type, not saying those guys specifically, but somebody in their position who are ready but just need to take the next step up.
