- What does being Irish have to do with anything? By that logic, Becky Lynch should be facing Seth Rollins at Payback. - Kevin Owens is husky. He is not fat. He's lost a considerable amount of weight since his indy days and he can move like a Cruiserweight. That whole post was just asinine. Look at Sheamus, what does he have other than the look and being Irish? Nothing. By that formula he's just a slightly larger unattractive Balor. Oh he can move like a cruiser weight? Let's make him WWE champ now, we all know how Vince feels about that style. Husky, fat, obese it doesn't matter. Unless you're big show or yoko fat you're fat and going no where. Call it whatever you like, but how many fat guys/husky ones have been champ? Kane and Mankind, but that has nothing to do with this. Sheamus is a great in ring worker and has a lot of talent. You're 100% right, man. Vince hates the crusierweights. That's why Seth Rollins is champion now.

Cruiserweights definitely don't stand a chance. As for Fat guys/husky guys, also add in Mark Henry, Big Show, Yokozuna, JBL wasn't exactly in shape either. Guys with good characters overcome it, you also just don't see that many husky guys who have the necessary tools or abilities to get over. I mean, you don't see that many heavy set guys in WWE anyway, they're a very small minority. Kevin Owens will be fine.

Add Jericho and Mysterio to that list.

Undertaker was fat most of his 'Main Event' run during the Attitude Era and Brand split. Edge and CM Punk were both far from 'in shape' toward the end of their runs in the world title scene. Vader also did pretty well for himself.

Jesus lol, big show, Henry, Kane and people over 7 foot aren't fat. Yoko was special attraction fat. KO looks like a guy off the streets.
You think Vince wanted to push DB? It's been proven he wasn't supposed to be where he is. As for Rollins, he's pretty jacked and about 6ft, he's not a cruiser weight. Regular looking people get through to the top, but it's not common. That's why I said 90% will be successful not 100%.

Edit: Yokozuna was special attraction fat, sure, but again, your point was fat and husky. Please, pick another point to try and make your case. And yes, Rollins is a cruiserweight, whether you want to admit it or not.

Giantism, worlds strongest man and not jacked to the gills are not fat or husky. yoko was fat, as I said special attraction fat 30 years ago. I'm not saying you can't be tall and fat but none of them are what I consider fat. You don't see people that look like Henry and big show every day Owens though, yeah you do.

I see guys that look like Rollins everyday, I see guys that look like Reigns pretty often. Times have changed, you don't need to look larger than life these days to get over in WWE. Owens' character, mic skills and ring work are more than good enough to get him to the top. I get that you don't like certain guys because you don't think they have a future, but that doesn't mean they don't. I think guys like Owens and Zayn, who look like any average Joe, have a much higher ceiling than guys in better shape like Wade Barrett, Cesaro and Ryback.

The cast of characters, the quality of the matches, and storylines that trim the fat and get right to the point.

Sheamus has had way more good matches than bad. Hell he pulled good matches out of Big Show just a couple years ago.

ECW got noticed in the early 90s because it had past WWE or WCW superstars along with a crew of new guys. If NXT had Billy Gunn wrestle full time there, tagging with new talent, feuding with new talent, putting over new talent, then I am sure I would enjoy watching it on a weekly basis. I just can't get behind guys I don't know or have never seen wrestle before, but if they are wrestling with guys I know, then I am more likely to watch. On a side note.... Billy Gunn looks amazing. For I really do believe he has found the fountain of youth and is hogging it all for himself!

For I really do believe he has found the fountain of youth and is hogging it all for himself! NXT is doing exactly that by bringing in guys like Rhyno and Kendrick. They don't do it every week because they kind of have a roster of young guys they want to build to be the future of the company. Bringing in guys from the past more often is quite possibly the worst idea they could do with NXT. It would defeat the entire purpose of the brand.
