Sorry if I missed you guys talking about it but watched Raw tonight on the DVR and well did anyone else catch what booker t said last night? In case you didn't here's what happened they were talking about Nievelle possibly winning the king of the ring and Booker T said...."he'll be our first high flyer king of the ring" Michael Cole Replied with " What about Owen Hart" so Booker replies with "He didn't defied gravity" ummmm what! Did you forget how he dies?
Thoughts? Lol

It's not offensive at all in context.

Out of context, sure, it was terrible. In context, there's no problem with what he said.

It wasn't on purpose, but still incredibly tone deaf.

He obviously didn't mean it that way; no need to make a "thing" out of it.

I realized it like a second after he said it and immediately had his voice in my head saying ''Tell me he did not just say that!''
Like the rest has said, in context there was no problem, but out of context this was a pretty bad blooper.

It's Cole's fault for mentioning Owen to begin with.

I heard the comment while watching and honestly thought nothing of it til I saw this.
He obviously meant nothing by it though

Didn't see it live. Just read all complaints on here and was shocked with what everyone was quoting. Put in context, it's quite a good point actually. Why the did Cole even bring up Owen Hart as a high flyer??

We'll never know if Vince was piping stuff in their ear pieces - "mention something about Owen". I could totally see Cole getting that info and blurting out something quick in reference, and Booker T well, he's just being Booker T.
I'm coming for you n****a Tell me he just didn't say that Awwww shucky ducky quack quack

There was no malicious intent behind it. It was a mistake, he apologised, let's move on.

It was just an unfortunate, yet cringe worthy, unintentional comment by Booker. He was just doing what his job is to do, get Neville over using Neville's tag line. It just so happens that the person he was comparing Neville to, Owen Hart, died tragically by falling to his death, so the comment about not being able to defy gravity was, as I said, cringe worthy, but not malicious.

It was cringeworthy, but I don't like this society where u need to apologize for every little thing. He didn't mean to be offensive, and however coincidental, he was not referring to Owens death whatsoever. I don't think he even needed to issue that apology and I LOVE Owen Hart

I heard him say it and never once did I think he was taking a shot at Owen Hart. Didn't even cross my mind that it could be misinterpreted.
People nowadays go out of their way to be pissed off about something. They are not happy unless they are angry. I don't understand it, but that's just the way it is.

Honest and innocent mistake that wouldn't have happened if there wasn't a tenuous thread to draw from to begin with...

I watched a clip of him saying since I missed RAW last Monday. I honestly didn't think he said anything wrong, it may have been taken the wrong way because of who was mentioned, but he apologized afterward, so it's all good now. BTW, I wouldn't consider Owen Hart as a high flyer. Sure at the time he wrestled he did aerial moves and for that time he may have been considered one, but compared to guys like Neville, Owen wasn't really a high flyer. He was more of a technical wrestler to me.
