For the E36 DDP: When the picture of DDP on THE FRONT OF THE PACKAGE has a dark beard and blonde/yellowish hair, why does the figure that's in the package have a light colored beard and light orange hair.
Do you guys think these are approved to have bad hair color, or is something lost in translation at the factory?

Do you guys think these are approved to have bad hair color, or is something lost in translation at the factory? Jakks did the same, often using orange to represent blonde. I'm almost certain both Jakks and Mattel do it on purpose, and just think for some non-sensical reason that orange represents certain shades of blonde better than yellowy browns. It's same as how many figure companies insist on using a blueish white on areas of figures that in the source material are pure white. It's stupid. I've heard figure company representatives comment on the blue/white issues in the past, claiming that pure white doesn't look right on figures and makes a figure look unfinished/unpainted (which I completely disagree with), so it'd probably be a similar explanation for the orange/blonde thing, that it apparently works "better" somehow. Or perhaps blueish-white paints and orange paints are just cheaper than pure-white paints and browns/yellows. Whatever the reason, it's ridiculous in my opinion. Pure white should be represented as pure white, and blonde should be represented as blonde. Figure colors should match the source material as closely as possible. Plus of course these same companies often make OTHER blonde figures which do have more realistic colors. So again there is very little logic or sense to be made here.

According to an ancient prophecy, Mattel has a quota of ginger paint they have to use every year or the world will end.

I don't really like it. I wish it just had blonde hair, w/ a dark wash and darker facial hair. But at least its not the same exact head that was on the Matty legend figure.

I hope they don't make cases like that with figures from the previous set. I'm afraid I've got some Bad News for you. They will. Oh, they will. Just take a look at the new crummy Elite case that's showing up in stores, the one with E32 and E33 mixed in with one E34 Cena.

Just noticed the weightbelt on hogan. No buckle on the front? Looks weird. yeh...it just looks like a championship belt, turned backwards. Looks kinda jojo. Especially since we got a nice molded weight belt with NWO Macho Man. And i think even the Jakks figs had decent looking weight belts with molded buckles. My only guess is because of the stupid shirt. Like how the WWF belt on DM Hogan doesn't fit very well if u take off that shirt. If they molded it to only fit around the shirt and it just had 1 peg. You couldn't put it on him if he wasn't wearing the shirt. So they had to go for the multiple pegs. Especially if they're going to be switching between many torsos for Hogan. As this seems to be the Sheamus torso

i hope im not the only one...
i am sick to DEATH of that god awful hogan "rippable" shirt with ALL his elites. you can't do anything with it, it just sits on the figure and looks like it's been cut down the middle. it was a nice idea for the DM but now every single Hogan is coming with it and it looks ridiculous

Could it be the Kane torso?
I don't like that hogan "ripped" shirt much either , tbh anybody could cut a line down the shirt themselves so unless it's put to use better with clasps etc then why bother with the rip

Not so much the Kane torso. And Mattel has a tendency to use the same arms on a torso mold. And those kind of look like sheamus arms

It's beautiful. I had no intention of getting yoko but now I'm getting at least 3 just for the belts. Can't wait for this hof series to hit. What torso u think they went with for hogan? Hoping for DM torso. That head looks like the E34 head minus the bandana looks really nice. Not keen on the belt though, I'll be swapping that one for a Championship belt & a custom cloth Hulkamania shirt.

i know its a WM 9 Hogan....but to me....it screams WCW 94-95 Hogan. Did Hogan ever wear that attire in an actual WCW match? Because I know OSFTM made one of those hard rubber WCW figs of a Hogan like this. I had it
