So, I got bored last night and decided to get 'crafty' and make a DIY display that fits on my desk for my figs. I wasn't good in shop class back in the day, but I wanted to try something different. I admit it doesn't look very great, but it is very sturdy. All I used was old USPS boxes I received from getting figs over the last months, old Elite boxes, old Xbox game cases, a few hundred old baseball cards and lots of packing tape....LOTS of tape. I took a picture of it when it was just completed, a side view to show you what's inside and two pictures of the finished display. I fit just about everything in the picture except my Defining Moments MOCs and Pop Vinyl. The materials you see in the side picture is what I used all the way across. I ended up using about 20 Elite Boxes from the series 25 thru 31 era and some from the newer series. I weighted everything with hundreds of baseball cards which make up a few entire levels. It stands up by itself and doesn't need to lean against the wall. The entire structure probably weighs around 30ish pounds. Let me know what you think...also has anyone ever tried to build a display for their figs out of random things? I'd like to see pics.

Looks pretty awesome to me. If it bothers you the way it looks could it be spray painted?

Looks good. Little sloppy with nothing displayed on it, but with figures it looks really nice.

Looks awesome! Very crafty, like something blue peter (a tv show with s craft segment on it) over here in the UK would show us how to make. Very good!

ya wood shop wasn't your cup of tea. honestly it looks like it will cave in. but I guess it did not, since its leaning on your wall. & figures have some weight on it to balance it out from caving in. I am sure u have something under it, for support. anyway, like everyone else said, it does look good when figures are displayed on it.

That structure isn't just on each side w/ nothing in the middle. It also doesn't need to lean against the wall. What you see in the side picture is the material that is all the way across the display. I used roughly 20 Elite boxes as the base and hundreds of baseball cards across it. The whole structure weighs about 35 to 40 pounds haha

Nice! It seems like just the other day when you declared on here that you were going to start collecting Mattel figures. I say that because you acquired A TON of figures in no time.
Awesome display, keep us posted as it grows!

I LOVE the old school bleacher look you've got going on. With all the figures standing, it really does look like the 100 level seats in an arena.
