Back in the summer of 1999, I was 18 years old then, and these kids biked into my town from another town which was like 10 - 15 minutes away in a car, so I am guessing it took them an hour to get to my place. Anyway, they asked if they could buy my LJN wrestling figures. I had no intentions on selling them, but I also knew I didn't play with them, or have them on display for that matter. They were just in a box somewhere.
So they said "We will give you $80 for them all!" And at the time, $80 seemed like a good chunk of cash for old LJN wrestlers. So I sold the wrestlers to them. I had the Hart Foundation, Bulldogs, Strike Force, White shirt Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and pretty much all the first few series. And if I knew then what I know now, I would have kept Warrior and white shirt Hogan for sure to have in my collection.
But then, I also wasn't collecting, and never thought I would have a display of wrestling stuff. I threw out old WWF Magazines from 1985 - 1992. Literally threw them out, and the garbage man took them. Same with my PWI, The Wrestler, Inside Wrestling, Wrestle America, all those magazines got tossed.
Stupid I tell ya, but back then I never thought that stuff like that would be worth money, or that I would want to have it on display in a room. Live and learn, I guess.

While I always kept my wrestling figures, I did the same as you with all of my G1 Transformers, MOTU, Thundercats, and TMNT. I had a ton of them all, too =/

I had 3 Elite Diesel figures that I pretty much sold around the time they came out. Wish I would have held onto at least one!

Seriously regret selling my 1/100 Roddy Piper from Mania VI and to a lesser degree a 1/100 Rey Mysterio. Added some Hogan figures to the deal and bought a sweet Samsung 40" LED TV.

I've never sold any of my collection (I'm a hoarder). My biggest regret as a collector was around 1993. Went to a local chain store and there were dozens and dozens of KOTR rings on sale for like 10 bucks. I only got 1. Kills me to this day.
