So I meant to post this a couple weeks ago when it happened, but alas I suppose now is good as time as ever.
Quick backstory: I work for a parking company in downtown Chicago and one of their divisions is a hospitality division where the company runs the valet parking services of the hotel. I'm a manager with the company and the hotel they currently have me at is the Hyatt Regency Chicago (biggest hotel in the city).
I haven't been there too long but from what I heard a lot of well known people come through there (saw Mr. T there once lol).
Anyways I was helping the attendents pull a car around and saw none other than Seth
ing Rollins pulling his truck up to the main entrance of the hotel. We had a lot of guests there that week for a crossfit event which is why I figured he was there. Unfortuntely by the time I got out of the car I was driving he and his friends already got in their shuttle bus to the event. I was mad at first, but realized since he was parking his car with us, I could check out his valet ticket and just keep my eye on it as the night went on to see when the ticket was pulled (kinda creepy I know lol, but I really didn't want to pass up not meeting him twice in one night)
Anyways, night went on and eventually I noticed the ticket was gone. I checked and the ticket had just been pulled (meaning he just paid and was about to pick up his car). I asked the cashier where the guy went who just paid, and she said he was in the bathroom.
After a few more mins, I see Seth turning the corner back to the desk where he would wait for the car. At this point I was super nervous as this was my first interaction with any wrestler pretty much. I walked up and said "Uhh Seth Rollins?" (like I didn't know who he was..but it was all I could seem to come up with at the time). He looked up and said "Yep yep how's it going?" (or something along those lines, was too nervous to even remember haha).
I shook his hand introduced myself, and asked him how the crossfit event went. He replied that it went well and that he had a good time. I asked if he wouldn't mind taking a pictue really quick to which he said sure to. I thanked him, shook his hand again and told him that I hope he kicks Randy's ass at Mania. He smiled as he walked out, laughed and said thanks. (this was the Thursday before their match was officially announced so not sure if he knew what was going to end up happening at that point or not.)
He walked out got in his truck with his friends after that and left! Was such a cool moment for me since as I said, my first real interaction with any superstar on any level. Overall pretty cool guy (maybe he was a little tired after his event, but can't blame him at all for that). Super thankful he took the time to take the pic and chat for a bit.
