Obviously, the prices loose vs. moc are way different...
What about buying Damaged cards? IE, rip, dent or tear? Would they be more valued as loose or moc price wise?

Obviously, the prices loose vs. moc are way different... What about buying Damaged cards? IE, rip, dent or tear? Would they be more valued as loose or moc price wise? Any significantly damaged card/bubble figure has more value than a loose one, but most of the time very little, unless it's very rare or sought after; Macho Man #1's seem to be going for pretty big money on so-so cards lately for example. To answer your question, I would say common figures on damaged cards are valued very close to loose, since the moc prices aren't very high. I for one really appreciate the card, so a damaged card (ripped, dented bubble, fadded, creased) has little value to me, and I could care less about mail aways in bags, even though they bring more money than most carded figures. Ebay is a good place to check pricing and what the market is paying.

I've seen damaged cards on occasion go for less than loose figures complete with accessories. If a card's wrecked it's a catch 22 for a collector because MOC collectors generally wont touch it and some loose collectors wont touch it either because they wouldn't want to open up the package to remove the figure - although some will.
