I see what youre points are, but those 2 things don't make NXT any less great than it really is.
Tag Team wrestling as a whole is down. People complain that there aren't enough teams, that most teams are just 2 mid-carders thrown together. Then we actually get a legit Tag Team on the main roster (Ascension) with matching gear, an actual gimmick....and most people are bitching about them saying they suck and it's a failure and they should be released, etc. Gotta have a "better than nothing" attitude sometimes... Plus to be honest Tag Team matches are ALL THE SAME. One guy gets beat up, tags the partner who goes crazy and hits a bunch of big moves then they get a finisher reversed and eventually win. You can only do the standard tag formula so many times before it becomes kinda boring. I just don't think Tag Teams are a make-or-break thing anymore
There really isn't a thing as "home grown" talent. Most everyone that comes through NXT has already been wrestling all over the place trying to make a name for themselves. Yeah you need bigger names like Owens & Zayn & Balor. But I'll NEVER knock them bringing in guys like that who NEVER would have had a shot at getting to the company years ago. Now they have a chance to get themselves familiar to the larger WWE audience BEFORE being brought up to the big shows. Sometimes it works (Shield) sometimes it doesn't (Adam Rose) but that is on the horrendous WWE creative team and their absolute inability to do anything interesting with characters.
NXT is amazing top to bottom. It's not perfect, but nothing is. The only thing it is, is a 100% quality and entertaining wrestling show. Which can't always be said about the 5 hours of mainstream cable television this company puts out every week.

NXT is amazing. It's the only WWE TV Show I watch on a weekly basis.

It is an excellent show. It knows it's target audience and works very well.
I just wonder how well it prepares them for the WWE.

Tag team wrestling is alive. You just got to look.

Literally the only complaint I can find with NXT is a lack of Tag Teams. But they kinda seem to be trending towards fixing that.
There are really good tag teams both in WWE and outside of it so I hope there is a renewed focus payed to it.

I'd say, with some caution, yes. It's not perfect, but what show is?
I would say, with some certainly, that from my personal perspective, it is the best weekly wrestling television program that I watch. So, that goes a long way.

NXT isn't the OMG OMG GREATEST MOST AMAZING THING EVER.
It's good. Is it the best weekly rasslin out there? Nah...at least not IMO. What I've seen of the NJPW show, and ROH, it's really not.

The show itself is fantastic from top to bottom. However, no one on the current roster has really gotten over with me. When I watched Raw for the first time in years last November, Ziggler, Ambrose, and Rollins were over with me by the end of the show. Bryan and He Who Has His Own Thread and Shall Remain Nameless quickly joined them after watching episodes from earlier in the year and then seeing them return from their injuries. That's not happening for me with NXT yet. I know there are a lot of great technical performers there, but I'm not feeling anything for the characters. I think Kevin Owens and Charlotte are on their way to getting over with me, but I'm not quite there yet.
Honestly, I think I fall somewhere in between the type of fan that Vince is marketing to in WWE, and type of fan that Triple H is marketing to in NXT. I seem to need a little more "star power" than the average smark, which would explain why I'm a fan of He Who Has His Own Thread and Shall Remain Nameless when so many others here aren't.

No one's saying it's better than NJPW or ROH (though I think ROH is the worst it's ever been), but rather it's just a fantastic show every week.

To be fair, I think it is, but that's because I don't get AXS TV, and like I said, ROH just isn't worth watching to me.

How does NXT compare to other companies? Anything other than WWE, the general consensus in that is well documented. lol.

NXT has a lot of problems. Not so great diva's division, some bad gimmicks, bias pushes, but at the end of the day, they're putting on great matches for the most part, and that's what it's all about.

Its as good and then some. Of course it isn't the most perfect show in wrestling but its damn near close. The womens division is quite possibly the best I've ever seen. The NXT Five are in a sense Haitches "Chosen Ones" but thats perfectly fine with me because no one else on that roster compares to them. I don't watch the show every single week but I do catch some episodes and I make it a priority to watch their big specials and I'm hardly ever disappointed. Owens/Sami has been one of the most well written stories in wrestling recently. Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha are the backbone of the womens division. Its hard to find too much wrong with it.

Nxt should have problems, it's developmental. It's where people work things out before going to raw so of course Bull or Corbin will suck sometimes (they had a shocker at the last special) but it's cool to see that raw talent grow from stage one. I do miss seeing guys debut who I don't know though, first seeing Lesnar destroy people on raw was such a cool and unknown experience.
I do think there can be better stuff though, tag team matches still don't click enough for me and they need more of them with more storylines. They also need to stick to things more, what happened with Marcus Louis and where are the redneck wrecking crew?!
I'm trying to think of bad things about it but other than personal stuff like I wish they'd maybe have one or two shows/ppvs in different arenas but overall there isn't really anything besides the tag team side of it that I think needs improvements.

I voted "yes". I get what you're saying though. I think I thought the same thing last week when I was watching, like, "would I like this as much if it wasn't WWE", or if, "it wasn't as over with the crowd?" When I first started watching I didn't know everyone on the Internet thought it was awesome, and I thought it was good. I think the reason why I like it is because HHH makes it and he's as much of a mark as I am and he's making a show he would want to watch. What I mean is, he said it was designed to appeal to hardcore wrestling fans. I totally understand, I think half the appeal is that, it is so over with the live crowd and it truly gives this sense of excitement. Again,I love NXT, I just think there are faults that get ignored because the show pushes our indy favorites or has great matches, which is understandable in why that makes it such a great product. But, sometimes I think it's overrated. I hear you man. You know what? Maybe it is overrated. Who am I to judge? I'm just some random dude on the Internet, lol!!!

Yes. Plain and simple. Absolutely everybody should get pushed over Bull. He's currently the worst wrestler on the roster. I see your Bull & raise you a Mojo Rawley.
