He got what he wanted. Ever since he showed up in a video at AAA TripleMania last year, he's been wanting a release from his contract, so I guess he finally got the release.

Can't remember the last time I even watched him on TV so I guess It won't effect me too much that he isn't there anymore. Last time I ever remember him doing anything of value was his feud with Jericho some years ago. Nonetheless best of luck to him in whatever he pursues next.

Sucks that one of their biggest stars ever gets this unceremonious send off.

Oh well, hope he does the best he can with whatever he has lined up now...his persistent injuries were sad to see; to me he truly is the greatest high flyer of all time and an inspiration on IGNITION.

It'll be good to see Rey Misterio Jr. return, sucks he didn't get anything in the way of a send off from the WWE

With being how popular he was and how much merchandise he sold I am surprised there was not one last "good bye" match or something. I liked Rey, but his character ing sucked. I liked how he was an underdog, but during his feud with Chavo when he quit like a little bitch in that match I was never able to take him serious again. Chavo did not come across strong, Rey just come across weak and pathetic.

Shame he didn't have a proper final run Pretty much what I popped in to say. He was amazing, and a true great, it's just too bad he was plagued by injuries.

Rey leaves and now suddenly everyone was a fan and is upset? I don't think I've seen many posts about how people cared about Rey in years.

People have always cared about Rey, he's a legend. It's not "sudden" that people wanted a legend to have a proper sendoff.
