also just wanted to say that next week I'm getting a new modem installed from my ISP and increasing my internet speed. the modem was something needed anyway, as my cable company upgraded their services , and my current modem was outdated ( and,to be fair, this could very well be the issue as well, cause they did the upgrade in the beginning of February). but the increase in speed is purely for the Network,as it's almost going to be doubled.
NOW, after I do all this, and if I STILL have issues with the Network, then it definitely is on the WWE as to why it isn't working properly.

Do you have DSL or Cable? DSL is typically too slow for most video streaming services. cable. again,it could be the modem, since mine is older, and I was told by them back in October I'd need a new one soon as the upgrades they were doing to the system wouldn't work well with the older modem I currently have. next week will tell the tale.

I'd scoot over to speedtest.net and run a quick test to see what kind of speeds you're pulling down over WiFi, if nothing else, you could at least rule the speed factor out. In general, I've found that larger streaming services are more likely to perform better than WWE Network on a less than stellar connection, so having a number will give you, me and others an idea as to whether or not that should be ruled out. Because WWE doesn't have nearly the server capacity as someone like Netflix, sometimes the hiccups on their end. was just going to post this. while some of the issues, no doubt, are on our end, I have a hard time believing some of it is not server issues on WWE's end. for example: today, at around 4:00 PM, watched last night's NXT show - flawless, perfect picture, no issues. right after it, put on WrestleMania III - got about 30 minutes in, freezes started, picture quality issues, etc. got about halfway through, then quit. put on the WrestleMania Then ,Now, and Forever special ( mainly cause I thought it was something else) - perfect video quality, no issues. after that was done, put on Saturday Night's main Event - not even 5 minutes in, you guessed it, freezing and picture quality distortion. now, if it's an issue with my internet speed, bandwidth, etc., then WHY would I only have issues with some programs on there, and not with others? I literally haven't been able to watch a WCW show - ANY WCW show -since the beginning of February. and the Live stream always works perfectly. if there was an issue on my end, wouldn't the Live Stream have issues too? I've heard rumors to the effect that WWE fluctuates the amount of server space used from time to time between the Live Stream and the VOD section. like sometimes they'll give more server space to the Live stream and less to the VOD section, sometimes the reverse, sometimes an equal amount of server space for both, etc. and since February is a free trial month, they've given more space to the Live Stream, believing most new subscribers will use that plus the live PPV's. so if the VOD section already has less server space, then add on top of that not only people using the free trial promotion, and the recent additions of more new subscribers over in the UK and Ireland, and you could potentially have the reason behind the increase in freezes and picture quality issues. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the quality improve next month as the number of free trial subscribers drops off. but it IS something WWE needs to look at and invest in for the future, getting more server space. Yeah, you've basically hit it. Undoubtedly, some of the issues are on their end. At best, WWE Network streams at 720p. Following a general guidline, you can expect to stream 720p content without many (or any) hiccups at ~4mbps, which, in today's landscape, isn't all that much. Granted, that's assuming you're strictly running the Network and not doing any Internet multi-tasking if you're treading that 4mbps line with your connection. Even then, you're bound to see some fluctuations that impact your viewing experience. Even still, that 4mbps suggestion is merely a generalized guideline. Internet streaming is never black and white. In the past, when this topic has come up around the boards, I've suggested that if your connection is able to steadily withstand 10mbps down, and you're still experiencing hiccups, it's probably fairly safe to assume you're dealing with an issue on their end. During live Pay-Per-Views, I always verify my connection and am usually receiving about 30mpbs down, hardwired over ethernet via a Roku 3, and I still have occasional hiccups. Nothing you can do.

This is purely speculation on my part, nothing more, but perhaps the number of free subscribers they brought in this month exceeded that of the group that jumped on board in November? I say that given the fact that it's Wrestlemania season, of course. Couple that with the new international subscribers that weren't around during the last free month, and you might have a plausible explanation. I guess we'll see if that holds any weight in March when a bunch of those accounts inevitably drop off.

And this is why I am glad that in Canada it's on a TV station, cause I hate streaming and seeing the video pause on the internet. How does that work? Do you get the On Demand stuff or just live broadcasts?

Do you get the On Demand stuff or just live broadcasts? I'm not entirely sure, being my cable company doesn't get it until March 26th. But I do know the channel airs stuff 24 hours a day, and there is an on demand section too. Now I am not entirely sure what - or how much - is gonna be on the on demand section.

I'm sure each country had its own servers so the new subscribers in their respective countries won't affect us here. The new subscribers for the free month though, they could definitely be a problem.

figured I'd give an update:
got the new modem yesterday. connection speed is around 35 Mbps ( of course this fluctuates, but that's the "base" level we're paying for). watched last night's NXT show - perfect. watched the Booker T WWE 24 episode right after - again, perfect. watched some Live Stream Ols School MSG right after - again, perfect. put on a Saturday Night's Main Event episode - it froze 10 seconds in, and while it never did freeze again, I had the pixilated picture all the way through. immediately - IMMEDIATELY - after the SNME episode, put on that Valenitnes Day special - again, perfect. went back to the SNME episode I was trying to watch - pixilation.
so I refuse to believe there isn't an issue on WWE's end when all the more recent content and the Live Stream works perfectly, but a lot of the older content has issues.

It was a little hiccup that just froze up for maybe 2-3 seconds, but the quality didn't drop after it. Edit: I put on November 1992, flawless for me. Not sure what's causing your issues, but it's not 100% WWE it seems.
