Let me start this thread off by saying that Mick Foley's books are and probably always will be my favorite books to read. Specifically his first two. I've read them multiple times and I never get tired of them. The last time I read through them was about four years ago. During that time, while reading his second book something about it just struck me and I decided to see if I could find his two oldest children on facebook, which I did. I didn't try to add them. I merely sent Dewey a message explaining I was a fan of his dad, that I was reading his books again and I had just wondered what he and Noelle were up to these days. The message was probably a little longer but that was the theme of it, if you will. I never expected to hear back. But, not only did I hear back from him, he added me as a facebook friend and we've remained as such these past four years. We've private messaged a little, commented back and forth on posts some, he's taken part in a private wrestling group me and some friends are a part of on there, that sort of stuff. Fast forward to earlier this month when my fiancee surprised me with tickets to Raw in Nashville as my valentines present. I posted about it on facebook and Dewey commented letting me know he would also be at the show and that we should meet up. Of course I wasn't going to say no to that so we exchanged numbers and began texting here and there over the next week or so. Sure enough, come Monday he was there. He got to the show after we did but we could see him from our seats. He and I texted some during the show, making comments about what was going on and as he had said, after the show, we met up. All I can say is that he is very cool. Laid back and easy to talk to. It honestly felt like we'd known him forever and he must have liked us too because he said if we can ever plan a trip to New York, he'd show us around. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Mick and his wife have raised what seem to be great kids. My fiancee and I grabbed pics with him. She's convinced he was more excited to meet her. Lol

I can see Mick Foley spread his kindness over to his kids. After meeting Mick Foley twice, I am not surprised his children are cool.
Be forewarned, there is too much to see in New York. Just food for though!!!

That's pretty damn cool man. I love those books too. Noelle comes off as rather annoying a lot on Twitter, but Dewey seems cool.

Ive read some of the more rare wrestling books like Bill Watts and Dynamites but never got round to reading the more popular ones like Foley's or Jerichos. I need to read them!

Throughout this great nation of ours, it's at a fever pitch. You and Dewey passed by like ships in the night, traveling up and down the same roads that my people built, you bleed the same blood, sweat the same sweat, you wined and dined with kings and queens, but Monday night you did the dance. Baby Doll, you jezebel! Give Brad back his womans Dewey Foley, you are not Mrs Foley's babyboy, the pu'lic ain't gonna stand for such! Hard times is sitting several rows behind your acquaintances at the Raw show. Ole,! I ain't got all them muscles and pretty bodies, I like the nightlife just a little too much! All kind of warrior out here, they got tongues as long as the Nile River! Arms and fists like thunderbolts crashing through the sky! You understand? I hope you did, I hope you did, Lord I hope you did.

Dewey is a cool dude. I met him once at his (and my buddy's girlfriend's) graduation. Glad you had a good time! They're way out on Long Island though, so if you ever hit NY go out east.

Yeah I knew he was on Long Island. We talked about how he thought he'd be getting away from the cold weather by coming down south....he was wrong. Lol
