Just imagine, a random RAW where Cesaro comes out to the ring, talks about having grabbed the brass ring by becoming tag champs with Kidd, but wanting something more, so he busts out the "I'm not leaving the ring until I get a shot. I'm Tag Champ. I won the first ever Andre Battle Royal...blah blah blah" -- Reigns music hits.
Reigns (in PROPER character form) hits the ring.
Reigns: You want a Title shot? Cesaro: I want a title shot at ______ (I don't recall which PPV follows WM) Reigns:....you got it. But not then. Tonight.
And they get in each others faces. Simple. Effective. Makes Reigns the character he needs to be. In less than 2 minutes it's spoken volumes about his character more than Heyman/Bryan giving him a rub could, and it's someone new. We get a title match on RAW, and two powerhouse performers go at it. Cesaro's in a WWEWHC which makes half the audience happy, and Reigns is there to please the other half....
wins across the board. Just little things like that can change the entire landscape of WWE storytelling, right now.
Have Tyson and Adam Rose get involved. This brings out the Usos. Or just have two dudes put on a really good match. Whatever. There are a number of ways you could do the story. But -- it's something DIFFERENT.

Ugh. Roman Reigns just isn't ready for the spot that he's being propelled into. Yes, he has improved. No, he's not awful. However, he's not ready to headline WrestleMania at this stage in his career and WWE abysmally forcing it doesn't help one bit. Who is ready? Bryan, sure. Rollins, maybe. But after that? Ziggler? Cesaro? Ambrose? Wyatt? I'm a huge fan of all those guys, as I know a good portion of this forum (and wrestling fans in general) are. But those guys are hardly any better prepared to step into the position Reigns is about to. Bryan was the only suitable choice for Lesnar's 'Mania opponent. There were times where Ziggler and Ambrose looked like they COULD HAVE been built up to be in Reigns' position, but of course, WWE royally screwed things up for the both of them.

I don't want another ten years of the unstoppable babyface who overcomes all odds and shrugs off every challenge. Sure you do. You just don't want it to be Roman Reigns. Well gosh NMS, you sure figured me out. I really do feel the exact opposite way as I originally thought I did. Apparently I'm a ing moron who doesn't know his own mind as well as some random dude on the internet does. Thanks for the clarity. In all seriousness, no, I don't want "my guy" to be booked like Cena. Like I said, I don't want anyone to be booked like that. It's lazy, it's boring, it's predictable, it's just sh*t. I would much rather have my favorites be fallible, flawed, interesting characters than a steamroller who shrugs off every challenge and often times makes his opponents look like crap. For example, I was all for Ambrose (who is among my favorites) losing dirty several times to Rollins, as long as he eventually got his big win and they could both look good in the end (that obviously didn't happen, but that's beside the point). A vulnerable face who eventually overcomes makes for a much more interesting character and story than one who's booked like Cena. One more thing...if I ever say "I'm disappointed that ___ lost this match" or something like that, that's usually me speaking as a fan of that wrestler, not as an armchair booker. Just because I like someone and want them to win most of the time as a fan, that doesn't mean that I want them to be ing Superman or think that it would be a good idea to book them that way. Sorry, that was a bit of a long winded reply.

How often does your fan opinion deviate from your armchair booker opinion? Fairly often. I try to get interested in matches as much as I can, and "root" for the guy I like more. I can recognize that even though it's what I personally want, it's not always a smart booking decision. As an example, I really dislike Lesnar, and wanted him to lose the belt as soon as possible, even if that meant dropping it to Cena. Logically, I knew it would be moronic to waste the rub from the Streak like that, nevertheless it was still what I hoped would happen.

Roman Reigns is being skyrocketed to the top too fast. How long it took to build people like John Cena and Randy Orton as legitimate singles stars should be how long it takes to build Roman Reigns as a legit singles competitor, then you can make him champion.

Fixed. Daniel Bryan is the Monster...the monster...he's turned into a monster. Is that code for a sex thing?... It's a song by Imagine Dragons...'Monster'. I'm in the minority who actually like his SummerSlam match against Orton...he did bloody well against Bryan at Fastlane... He'll get there, eventually...

You see, I think Roman Reigns has alot of potential. He just needs to find his footing before he can really climb. They threw him out there with the sharks and he is hit or miss when it comes to delivering. You can tell he is really struggling with promos still. His match with Bryan showed alot of potential, That was by far his best singles match in WWE. I'd say it was mostly due to Bryan being godly in the ring and carrying that match, but still, Ill give credit where credit is due, He held his own.
Now the HUGE problem here, A guy who is still learning and trying to find his character SHOULD NOT be main eventing a WM. Nobody is invested in this guy yet, There will be noone on the edge of their seat waiting for that 3 count to happen. Nobody will be "invested" in him winning the title. They have rushed him into a spot he shouldnt be in at this point in his career.
This booking would be like putting Stone Cold in a match with Undertaker in the main event of WM 13 or putting John Cena in the main event of WM 20 with Michaels/HHH/Benoit.
