Can the ASR Ropes made by RSC fit on the ESR?

Just a question I have been pondering ever since I got my new ESR. Can they? Or is there something wrong with it?

I was under the impression they are the same exact rings (minus some structure supports), but according to ringside and other responses ive seen they were only made to fit the ASR not the ESR.
