This has got to be the best example of Wfigs heel turn threads ever.
We are not only getting ROH and Indy/Legends/ECW figures, but we are getting them in RA form. RA FORMS! You remember, the same figure this forum rallied for with Jakks TNA run? The same figures Mattel based their Basics off of, minus the boot cut swivel....
Remember, these are prototypes. Nothing is in stone until it goes in the assembly line.
You guys are bungholes, Hopefully Chris sticks it out on this forum... I sure as hell wouldn't.
Also, that meanie sculpt is superb!

Some of you guys take action figures WAY too seriously. Complaining about whatever minute little thing you can nitpick. Ten years ago people like me would have gone cray for this line. We're getting it now, some cool stuff an old Indy head like me will even buy a few of, and people are still complaining. We got em and they're at the scale of pretty much any figure out there (ras definitely rule the land, there's probably more of those in the wild at flea markets, garage sales, etc than ANY other type of figure), I for one am pretty happy. Don't forget, this is a dream for the wrestlers too. I bet a huge collector like Zach Ryder is hyped at all of these and not complaining about parts and scale.

Like I said again the fact that we get to fill in gaps to our Jakks collection and expanding the Jakks roster is just awesome! That Blue Meanie sculpt is just great and will look amazing on my ECW display.

Where did I say that? I just don't think it's especially good. I could have done a better job myself. If you can do better, please show us your version! And who the f*** are you? I can't do your job, you can't do mine. Saying some random dude can't sclupt as well as an ex-NECA employe is 100% true, smh. So no he can't sclupt as well, and he has a right to say he thinks it looks awful. You try sculpting it, maybe you'll have to get off your high horse to do that

I LOVE that Meanie sculpt. Looks just like him. I'm also happy that he will be on a bigger sized body. Guess I better scoop up a Jakks Stevie to go with him!

Complaining about complaining is nothing new. But then the positive thinkers will always clash with the critical thinkers. Each party has value really. Without the critics FTC wouldn't know what areas needed improving, and without the praise-givers FTC would probably tell us all to F-off and give up on the line lol.
At the end of the day I'm sure my constant criticism annoys the positive people just as much as their constant praise annoys me. Nothing wrong with a debate but when it starts getting heated, sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and respect that the other side is firm on their opinion and further arguement is pointless.

Well ftchris my fears were realized with the Blue Meanie sculpt, it's NOT Classic in any way. The sculpt looks good but he did not have the beard in ECW or his WWF run. Instead of telling Mr. Meanie sorry this is a classic line not an Indy line so either take our money or were not making your figure, we get this mashup. Go to the Mattel board & ask how well the mashup with the Yellow IC Title & Black World Title for the Legends Ultimate Warrior went over. I'm gonna pass on this figure unfortunately & i was so excited for it at one point. I hope this does not continue with your company or its doomed.

and everyone has a right to criticise or praise the product, I am personally happy that I have new items to add to my extensive RA collection and can take the rough with the smooth.

If the mods would OK me posting a new topic where I can edit the first post and either merging the posts from here or just allow it to start fresh, I'll gladly do so. That's there call. Don't want to clutter the board.
Thanks for the love on the Meanie sculpt. I think it looks great, and Meanie himself is ecstatic about it.
For those who say it doesn't look "classic" enough, it was never a requirement that we had to do a Blue Meanie from say, 1999 just because it was in the Legends line. While the overall look remains the same, Meanie asked to have the fuller beard for his figure. A simple request that I do not think takes away from the look of the figure or will confuse anyone as to whether or not they're looking at a Blue Meanie figure. This one will look even better once a proto is made and painted.
Speaking of the Legends line, these five for the first wave will be it. We were talking to a sixth name, but couldn't come to terms with them. It's remaining confidential as to who it was, but we had been talking with a legendary 80's personality for the line. We'll just have to see what the future holds for any additional waves.
We're not done announcing Rising Stars figures yet, so stay tuned for a little more info on that line in the coming weeks.

For future Legend waves please try and sign some WCW/nWo era talent to mix in. The ECW guys and 80s guys are of course deserving, but Jakks missed a lot of WCW/nWo era guys as well.

I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing requests, but I'm sure you guys could knock a late 90s D'lo Brown with chest protector out of the park!

Thanks for the response Chris. I love this, it reminds me of the Jakks line and how awesome Jeremy was on the boards, always asking for input.
The clothing for these guys is top notch. Im pretty much parted with all my figure clothing but can't wait for these. That's one place where Jakks shined and these look great over the Jakks Esq bodies.
The lineup is amazing, first time since the last big tna showing at toyfair that I am actually excited about figures. All the Jakks guys that were/are indie wrestlers too just make for the perfect roster for ROH 04-09,dream come true for a huge Indy fan.
Down the line I hope we get some really out of nowhere figures; AR Fox, Matt Cage, Rich Swann and Shane Hollister really come to mind for me. But I hope we get all the current RoH guys, ACH for sure.

I'm really excited for this line. It's neat that fans of independent wrestling can add their favorites to their collection. I think my hopefuls would be Shane Douglas (ECW or WCW), Taka and some obscure guys.
