Not the smartest thing to say. But fair play to him.

Even if Roman Reigns had a ***** match at WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar, he still wouldn't get a pop from the majority of you. Needless to say, this wasn't the best way of saying it, but people need to lay off him. He's new to the main event spotlight, he'll take time to properly adjust and act accordingly. I've gone into the WrestleMania thread and admitted that I would love to see them kill it. I want Roman Reigns to succeed. Myself and a few others have been saying what you basically just said. This wasn't the best way to say things, and it is very possible that it happened because he is new to having to talk to the media as a top guy. But of course saying "Oh, Roman could have worded that better" is somehow read as "ROMAN REIGNS SUX HE SHOULD BE A JOBBER", which still confuses me. Now I'm being crucified for defending the guy. Let things play out, see how 'Mania goes before you inevitably (it seems) start hating on Roman Reigns.

Eh whatever. Don't care what you people think, I work hard for not much money, hell my whole family does and I think it's just smarmy to brag about wealth.
This may have been taken out of context though.
And no, I'm not jealous, just don't like it and it shows a person's character.

What's wrong with what he said? Maybe just the way he said it but the actual content isn't bad. He says the company is going to do what it wants and hopefully he's the one they go with and he can make a lot of money along the way. Maybe it comes off as douchey but what he means is what I bet they all feel. They all feel the company is going to do what it wants and they hope they are the ones that get the jetpack strapped to them and they get to make a ton of money on the way to the top. Exactly, a few guys here or majority is really sensitive and taking this interview out of context. I'm no big fan of Reigns , but I'm glad he won. Especially because of the reaction here, Hell not even Brock defeating Takers streak got this much of an annoying reaction. Don't hate Reigns, hate Vince, the writers. They shoved John Cena down our throats. Anyways, good straight forward interview.

The one big difference I see between Reigns and Cena is that Cena as person is incredibly hard to dislike, whilst Roman makes it easy. Cena is always humble when he talks and knows exactly how to handle and respond to his haters.
Reigns has come across as very defensive and fragile in all the interviews I've seen of him since RR.
It's amazing how natural he seems like he'd fit into that Brock Lesnar role. As great as Rollins is, Reigns is the true to life version of that character.
Forget this year's roster massacre they called the Royal Rumble. The biggest mistake WWE are making is not making this guy a big time heel. Everything I've seen of Reigns outside the ring makes me want to slap him.

I honestly don't care what he's in the business for. Sure you want to root for the guys that love it as much as you but at the end of the day as long as he entertains I don't care why he does.

Bring on the helicopter, the slamming of Big Show on the Intrepid, the Roman Reigns Express and the count out win over a KO'd Brock Lesnar at Mania with the Usos and Rock carrying him around on their shoulders in celebration as the Samoan SWAT make their way down to the ring. KAPOW, then have Heyman explain the deep significance of it all to a bewildered WWE Universe watching around the ing world. MEANS MUCH MORE THAN THIS on the back of Roman's vest surrounding the title with an airbrushed masterpiece of Yokozuna meanmugging it on the front somewhere. They have top men, they'll figure out the details. I bet Roman's punching a bag with Luger's face taped to it right now.

He's missing the airbrushing but something like this. The real Man On a Mission. For Yoko, that's what that Shield fist bump thing was always about, the memory of Yoko. I'd use this Yoko pic for the portrait on Reigns WM vest, a deadly serious Zunes on the warpath. Look at his eyes, that's the real Boogeyman, even the Mountie himself approves.

I rarely ever post, but man this is just getting old.
Let's say you get a job at an office, even better, an internship. When you have that internship at this company you've always wanted to work for, you are going to do whatever it takes to gain employment. You move up from Intern to Staff. As a staff member, you are always looking to move up. You don't always want to be at the bottom of the ladder right? So you talk to the right people, you work hard with what you have, you do anything you can to move up, make more money, and it really doesn't matter what you or I think about it, because we aren't the ones doing it.
Same thing with Roman. I don't like his character, the Shield kinda bored me to be honest. But why in the hell should anyone be mad at someone for being in something for the money? This guy isn't even 30 years old and has the chance to go out in front of millions of people on TV weekly, multiple times. He has an opportunity to be at a top level on the roster, hold the biggest title in the company, make hundreds of thousands, if not millions, and you all can't relate to that?
"He's not in it for the love, he's in it for the money"
Who cares? Do you like going to work every day? No. You go to earn a paycheck. You are in to whatever you do for the money too. That entire argument is so dead.
"WWE force fed us Reigns"
I agree. Reigns isn't ready to carry this company as the WWE Champion in my opinion. His matches bore me, his promos are decent, he has the look, but other than that he is beyond bland. But on that same token, he isn't John Cena. He isn't Batista, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Randy Orton, Sheamus, or any of the other people we've seen pass around the gold for the better part of a decade. He's something new, something fresh, which everyone always begs for.
"Daniel Bryan should be WWE Champ"
Why? The man just came back from what many thought would be a career altering or ending injury, hasn't looked like his old self yet, and you want him to work all the live events and work hurt, which is what everyone on here hated WWE for allowing CM Punk to do, just so Reigns isn't Champ? I don't get the logic.
I'm not a fan of Reigns or Bryan, or really the current product, but my God some of the arguments here sound like they are coming from the kids on the WWE facebook page.

It's very easy to take something like this out of context. He could have easily said that last part as a joke. that's a good point actually. That said, kayfabe wise, not a great move if it is in the context we are meant to assume.
