Again, you can go about better ways of conveying your opinion. So can the "everything sucks this is the worst company ever I'm never watching again" people, right? No. Don't fight fire with fire. Just be respectful and civil. That's all I'm saying.

There's a huge difference between bashing a product and personally insulting people and their opinions. There's also a huge difference between personally insulting people and having fun with opinions.

So you're saying you're a troll. Explain? I didn't say anything about me. I thought you more or less just said that you don't personally insult people, you just "have fun" with their opinions. Which sounds like trolling to me. But I really shouldn't have gotten involved with this at all. It's just derailing the topic, and I should know better than to have done that. On topic: I think this decision is asinine, and the numbers will be back sooner or later.

I think this decision is asinine, and the numbers will be back sooner or later. The numbers in the logos will come and go depending on how Vince feels at any given time, just like they always have. And whether or not there's a number in the logo won't make any difference whatsoever to anybody except Vince and Vince-haters. Just like his "sports entertainment" term -- Vince insists on it, Vince-haters get upset about it, and everybody else just ignores it and says "wrestling."

I think some people may be misunderstanding what this is saying. They're not going to stop calling it WM31, WM32, etc etc, they just mean the roman numerals will no longer be part of the logo anymore.
If that is the case then it is no real big deal. They most likely just want to eliminate all the numbers to prevent the logo from getting cluttered.

Do I think his line of thinking on it is dumb? Sure. Will it have any impact on my enjoyment (or lack thereof) of future Wrestlemanias? Not in the slightest.

Bingo. If the show's good, the lack of a number on the banner isn't going to make it bad. If the show sucks, a number on the banner isn't going to make it better.

I mean, it sorta makes sense, as most people just say "The Superbowl" opposed to the number. However, the idea that numbering WM makes it seem old and has much, if any effect on sales, is where Vince really doesn't understand this generation. Also, he REALLY needs to start catering to the fans he already has, instead of doing stupid things to attract the "channel flipper, watches Raw every other 3 weeks, type fan".

I can only count to 39 in Roman numerals. Anything past that I need a reference. So I'm okay with this.

until they hit 40...and then 50
to which it will be ALL OVER the place about how they got to 50 Wrestlemania's etc.

Because it's fun and enjoyable -- same reason we all come here. Same reason we all watch wrestling. I honestly think you can make well thought out and intelligent posts. However, your attitude is horrible. If you drop the condescending stuff, people would take you more seriously but until then I won't at least. I'm not sure what Jeff has to do with this but I'm okay with it. I was actually gonna say something similar earlier. The guy makes a lot of sense sometimes and backs things up with facts but that attitude KILLS me.

WrestleMania is going on in this thread.
On topic, it doesn't really annoy me, I usually refer to it as "hey did you see Cena beat Bray at Mania?" or a match from said Mania in social situations. I'd assume it would annoy long time viewers since they grew up with it though.

so ing stupid. what happened to the legacy and heritage of WrestleMania. WWE can go themselves. Just another reason to cancel the network. Don't you think all this is a bit extreme over roman numerals on a logo? I mean it's only a "XXXI" under the word Wrestlemania. They're still gonna call it Wrestlemania 31, so no need for anyone to themselves or for anyone else to cancel the network.

Umm...thank you marino13 for quoting this and bringing it to my attention. This might be one of the worst posts I've ever read. Is numbering an event really that big of a deal? Posts like this are why others on this forum say such negative things about fans. You have the people who say "numerals not being there isn't a big deal, but Vince's idea that it makes it old is kind of dumb." Then there's a post like this. If you really think it should be WWE because numerals are a legit reason to cancel your network then that's kind of sad. It's one thing to cancel because your dislike the direction of the company, but because WrestleMania logos won't have "31" or "32" on it is one of the most asinine things I have ever read. @cabbageconkers, I take back what I said. "The Outlaws gave Cody Rhodes the best matches of his career" is not the worst thing I've read on this board. This is.
