Guess I'm in the minority. Idk, I know he wasn't really going anywhere as a singles competitor either but to me this is a little too cheesy. At least Sandow is a good sport about it and can actually get into it. His gimmick is nowhere near as cheesy as Santino's was or others before him like Hornswoggle. IMO, Mizdow can pull off the comedic roll without being cheesy. He's comedy gold.

Actually, I didn't mind Hornswoggle when he was with Finlay but not as his own character.

I thought for sure Mizdow was going to eliminate Miz in the Royal Rumble.
Of course I also thought Ryback was going to eliminate Rusev and Bryan was going to win so there's that.
I think the full on baby face turn has to happen in the Fastlane in order to set up the Mania pre-show match. That's how I'd book it.

It's incredible that Sandow was able to recover from that awful impersonation gimmick he had to start with and up as over as he is now. I mean, look at how Charlie Haas ended up after his imitation gimmick...

Yeah, I actually liked him as Little Bastard but it went downhill once they changed his name.

It's good for the time being, but I would much rather have "intellectual savior" gimmick.

At least Sandow is a good sport about it and can actually get into it. You are not alone, I can't stand the gimmick. It's dumb. They really didn't exploit his original "Savior of the Unwashed Masses" enough, it was a great gimmick, with the old-school robe, the "You're Welcome," & the unique way he held the microphone like a wine glass - I thought they would make him into a sophisticated main event heel, much like "The Million Dollar Man" was during the golden era..... heck, they could have even incorporated Ted Dibiase into the angle, seems like they don't know what to do with these legends.... maybe Sandow's efforts could have been funded by "The Million Dollar Man" just for fun. A passing of the heel torch, if you will.... I thought Sandow would be coming up with various complex schemes to foil John Cena and take the WWE Title (even if he didn't win it - Dibiase never did). Instead - they've turned him into a clown & a joke - I believe that the fans are laughing at him, not with him. "The Savior of the Unwashed" would never have been a lackey for someone like The Miz.... if anything, someone like The Miz should have been a lackey for Sandow! They've completely destroyed the character & at this point I don't know how he ever goes back to being a serious competitor after serving as comic relief for so long. I'm glad everyone got a good laugh. It's a credit to Sandow that he's actually making it work.... imagine what he could have done with some good material.

If the WWE wanted to do something substantial with Sandow (note: they don't), then they'd need to time it just right. Ride the Mizdow thing just long enough to have it not wear out its welcome. Progressively have Sandow show signs of resentment - have him pause before pulling his imitating act, rolling his eyes, etc. Have it all build to a head til one night they're pulling a spot in the ring, Miz whips his head around expecting to see Damien doing the same, and instead he's staring right into Sandow's eyes. Double cross, hopefully big pop, and work the two of them right into a program against one another.

I think Mizdow is great and Sandow is great. But I don't know how they can use him if he turns face - he's a natural heel.

Oh, I could easily see them harping back on his super intelligent angle on the side of good, rallying the fans behind him against injustices in the WWE - "I'm smarter than that. The WWE UNIVERSE is smarter than that" - blah blah blah. I just don't feel like the WWE has that sort of adaptability anymore.
