That number will probably go down after people's network cancelation reaches the expiration date.

Vince has to think that this is all because of Roman Reigns LMFAO! The only wrestler to ever caused RIOTS after an event. Well. IWC sort of Riots. Now believe dat!

It's probably true, but I am optimistic. One, as someone already said, any cancellations because of the Royal Rumble won't show up until the next billing cycle. Two, WWE is notorious for inflating numbers (WrestleMania III anyone?). Are these official numbers from a third party or are they WWE's numbers?
I won't be shocked if it is true but it until we get real confirmation, I'm filling this under internet rumor.

I understand the skepticism after a poor RR on Sunday, but the WWE just can't fudge these numbers.
Investors have millions and millions of dollars in this company, and the WWE can't just make these announcements and hope no one verifies it.

It could just be WWE pulling a Jakks and lying. Or pulling a Russo Swerve

I wonder if this means 1 million CURRENT subscribers, or 1 million total cumulative subscribers, meaning they are counting everyone who has ever been a subscriber, even those who have cancelled?
I find it odd that they hit 1 million a day after so many people at least CLAIMED to have unsubscribed....if as many people unsubscribed as they claim, then you would think WWE Network would have had 1 million subscribers sooner if they claim to have 1 million CURRENT subscribers.
Seems like propaganda to me.

For $9.99 you would be absolutley intellectually- disabled not to have the network. You get all that content plus exclusive shows and the monthly PPV. Hell of a deal even if you didn't watch today's current product. Or you could be someone with terrible internet connection. That's the main reason I haven't seen fans signing up. Which is why it's terrible to hear JBL crap on everyone who pays full price for the PPV. If you pay for the full price of a ppv you can easily pay for better Internet connection. I'm pretty sure my Internet is maybe $50 tops a month and it runs fine. If only they'd have had the network running in UK from the get go and maybe it wouldn't have taken so long. Oh well, I love the damn thing and think its the best $9.99 I've ever spent.

The network hit a million cumulative months and months ago, before SummerSlam I think. The press release is for a million active.

Seems like propaganda to me. It would be for active. Considering they're a publicly traded company now, there are SERIOUS ramifications to misguiding numbers, and false reporting. I highly doubt their release of this is in response to the Royal Rumble, but rather to the #CancelWWENetwork thing. I'm certain at least a few investors saw it, and got twitchy, as rich people tend too, when you f**k with their money (and rightfully so)...so the financial dept, and board decided to push up the news release, that was inevitably coming, regardless of how the RR played out.

That should pretty much cancel out my issues with using the network.

To people who are having problems with the WWE Network because of their internet.......are you watching it on a Playstation or Xbox?
I work in technology, and one of the guys I work with said that there is a cap on how fast your internet can be on a Playstation or XBox because their networks only allow a certain speed. If you tested you internet on you game console, and on your computer at the same time, the computer would be faster.
What I do when I watch WWE Network, is I watch in on my iPad through the WWE App and I connect the iPad to the tv with a cord I purchased at Best Buy for like $40 dollars. I never have any freezing or skipping, and it rarely ever even drops from HD picture quality for more than a minute or so.
I don't know if what this guy told me is true, but it makes sense....I had nothing but trouble trying to watch WWE PPV's on my PS3...but as soon as I started using my iPad, it's been perfect.

half of me wishes that the network's full potential was in the Canadian version - old content mainly.
endless ecw would be great, but there is other ways
