I'd be willing to bet the backlash over the Rumble was a little more than they initially reported. The cancellation page crashed the night of the Rumble. The only question is how many of those people will sign up again in a few weeks as we get closer to Mania.
Regardless, it's good news. I'm pretty down on the product right now, but that doesn't mean that I love the Network any less.

They wouldn't give Roman the old title.

this is good, but a completely calculated move releasing those numbers right now they probably weren't going to say anything for a little while...or maybe they already knew, but since the Rumble disaster they want everyone to be like "SEE TOLD YOU THEY WERE FINE! ROMANWINSLOL!!!!" cant wait for RAW next week when we get told 500 times the Network has a million subsNext week? They aren't making it past Thursday without doing that haha.

John Cena = 677,000 Roman Reigns = 1,000,000See, the fans in Philly were wrong. Daniel Bryan probably would have 100,000 subscribers only and they would all be smarks. I'm learning my lesson.

Of course it just topped one million. They just opened in a huge market, the UK.
I still expect the whole #CancelWWENetwork movement to have a noticeable impact on the number of subscribers.

For $9.99 you would be absolutley intellectually- disabled not to have the network. You get all that content plus exclusive shows and the monthly PPV. Hell of a deal even if you didn't watch today's current product.

Hell of a deal even if you didn't watch today's current product. Or you could be someone with terrible internet connection. That's the main reason I haven't seen fans signing up. Which is why it's terrible to hear JBL crap on everyone who pays full price for the PPV.

I'm glad they got to a million subscribers. I know I haven't been on the Network much till just lately, but it really worth the $10 a month. Even if they took out the live PPVs out of the package, I still would have subscribed on day 1. It really is a great thing to have, despite my disappointment of a lack of 80's stuff that I was looking forward to the most.

Sorry for double post, but what large market have the Network not gone to yet other than Germany, which is surprising IMO

www.thestreet.com/story/13024753/1/world-wrestling-entertainment-wwe-stock-jumps-after-announcing-wwe-network-subscriber-milestone.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOONEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE - Get Report) were gaining 13.1% to $11.586 on Tuesday after the company announced that it reached 1 million WWE Network subscribers. The sports entertainment company reached the 1 million subscriber milestone 11 months after its launch, making the WWE Network the "fastest-growing digital subscription service," according to the company. WWE attributed the recent increase of subscribers to its successful free November promotion, the launch of the service in the U.K., and "significant additions" for its Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The company said that 90% of subscribers access the WWE Network at least once a week, and 99% access it at least once a month. Exclusive Report: Jim Cramer's Best Stocks for 2015 STOCKS TO BUY: TheStreet Quant Ratings has identified a handful of stocks that can potentially TRIPLE in the next 12 months. Learn more. "We're thrilled that we've surpassed the 1 million subscriber milestone less than a year after launching WWE Network and in advance of WrestleMania, our biggest event of the year on March 29," WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon said. "We remain focused on delivering an outstanding value proposition for ours fans by adding new content and new features in the coming year." TheStreet Ratings team rates WORLD WRESTLING ENTMT INC as a Hold with a ratings score of C-. TheStreet Ratings Team has this to say about their recommendation: "We rate WORLD WRESTLING ENTMT INC (WWE) a HOLD. The primary factors that have impacted our rating are mixed -- some indicating strength, some showing weaknesses, with little evidence to justify the expectation of either a positive or negative performance for this stock relative to most other stocks. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures and expanding profit margins. However, as a counter to these strengths, we also find weaknesses including feeble growth in the company's earnings per share, deteriorating net income and disappointing return on equity." Highlights from the analysis by TheStreet Ratings Team goes as follows: ◾Despite its growing revenue, the company underperformed as compared with the industry average of 8.4%. Since the same quarter one year prior, revenues slightly increased by 6.1%. This growth in revenue does not appear to have trickled down to the company's bottom line, displayed by a decline in earnings per share. ◾WWE's debt-to-equity ratio is very low at 0.13 and is currently below that of the industry average, implying that there has been very successful management of debt levels. Along with the favorable debt-to-equity ratio, the company maintains an adequate quick ratio of 1.19, which illustrates the ability to avoid short-term cash problems. ◾35.87% is the gross profit margin for WORLD WRESTLING ENTMT INC which we consider to be strong. Regardless of WWE's high profit margin, it has managed to decrease from the same period last year. Despite the mixed results of the gross profit margin, WWE's net profit margin of -4.92% significantly underperformed when compared to the industry average. ◾Return on equity has greatly decreased when compared to its ROE from the same quarter one year prior. This is a signal of major weakness within the corporation. Compared to other companies in the Media industry and the overall market, WORLD WRESTLING ENTMT INC's return on equity significantly trails that of both the industry average and the S&P 500. ◾Net operating cash flow has significantly decreased to -$0.55 million or 108.78% when compared to the same quarter last year. In addition, when comparing to the industry average, the firm's growth rate is much lower

I don't see how they have him beat Lesnar clean. They have to have Lesnar get injured before the match (playing off the "rib injury" from the table spot) or make it a triple threat and have Rollins take the pin. they have him beat lesnar clean cause lesnar is leaving after mania and they want roman as the new top guy.

Glad to hear. I'm a big fan of the network. 10 bucks a month gets me every ppv. That would cost me 60 bucks prior to the network. Not to mention the original programs like wwe 24 which was awesome last night. Also wiith access to the online library its a complete steal.

I believe that number is from Q4 and was taken during a time when the Network was on a free month trial offer, meaning tons of people signed up and were technically counted as "subscribers", regardless if they continued to pay.

I'm bummed by the recent events, but I love the service so much. probably my best $10 spent a month.

Can you imagine how many subs they'd have if Reigns didn't win the Royal Rumble!?!?
