Bubba Ray Dudley had a backstage interview with WWE.com in which he said it was his first ever Rumble match and his first appearance in WWE in ten years. He said returning in Philadelphia was perfect. He said the fans welcomed him and he considers WWE home. He wrote on Twitter:
It was previously reported that there had been negotiations between WWE and the Dudley Boyz. According to sources, Devon was not backstage last night. Also, Bubba Ray Dudley is now under contract with WWE and that was not a one-shot deal. You’ll be seeing more of him.

I figured he would be since he actually eliminated a couple of people in the Rumble. Guests don't usually get to do that. I'm cool with it. I was never a fan of Bubba until he won me over with the Bully Ray gimmick. I don't care if Devon's not around either since I always thought he was dead weight. Though, this could mean anything or nothing. It's a dirtsheet so he may just be back for a one-off appearance every now and then and they'd still technically be right.

I hope it's not a deal where he is required to make just a few appearances a year like Jericho is doing I really hope it's a full on weekly deal and I wouldn't mind seeing him hold some gold again whether it be tag titles with someone or maybe a mid card title, though I doubt it would actually happen, because face it he hasn't been in WWE for ten years it's not like they will give him a title reign with anything.

I'll be okay with a couple Dudleys/Ascension matches.

great! the guy busted his ass in tna and really reinvented himself - good to see him get one more run in the wwe, for a good while it wasn't clear if he'd be back or not.
and without devon!? woohoo!

Awesome, he improved his singles career a lot in TNA so he hopefully will be on a permanent basis with more stock like Christian was when he came back. I think Bubba is a lot better now as a singles competitor as Dvon hasn't been entertaining to me in a decade.
Also enjoyed the stereotypical black man replacement in R-Truth last night.

I'm not the biggest fan but rather see a singles run than a DB reunion.

I love the Dudleys and I'd love to see D'Von come in as well, but if it's just going to Bubba, I'd really like to see them give the Bully Ray gimmick a shot. I know it would be completely out of character for WWE to allow a TNA gimmick, but he's so good in that role.

Down for it 100%... but I want D-Von too, dammit.
Giving out half a Dudleyz return would suck.

I'm good with Dudleys vs Ascension at Mania in a street fight.
