I'm thinking in the respect of,how much bigger, better can the Mattel WWE line get? have reached the peak in 2015? I mean, the sheer list of wrestlers that we already got,or will be getting in 2015:
Hogan Flair Sting Razor Ramon Lex Luger Ultimate Warrior Shawn Michaels Undertaker Bret Hart Macho Man Randy Savage Kevin Nash / Diesel LOD Demolition Mr. Perfect Sgt. Slaughter Stone cold Steve Austin The Rock DX Kane
just a handful of names, but, undoubtedly, most of the cream of the crop in wrestling history. and we already know we're getting a whole ton more this year, including Earthquake, APA, more Hogan's,HBK's,Bret's, etc.
I guess I just wonder, has the line truly peaked for us? can it possibly go any higher? it's going to be damn hard to top what the first 6 years have given us so far!

Still need Steiners, British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation (young Bret and matching anvil) to fill out the greatest tag teams.
And Muraco, Valentine, Santana for the greats of the Intercontinental Championship. (Personally I would say Pedro Moralas needs to be there also.)
But we got many of the mainstream guys already. I would add Backlund, SuperStar Billy Graham, Mr Fuji and Ivan Kolov (and an NWA version as well) to the list of must haves as well because they were the guys I started watching back in the 70's. Still need Stuff from the 80's.
And then NWA/WCW besides many Surfer Sting figures there's Magnum, Nikita, Dr Death, Windham (although pretty sure Bill said he is coming either this year or next) Ron Garvin, Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson.

I think you are right in terms of the talent in the line right now. We have a majority of the top tier stars now, everybody else they can add to it is just icing. We all still have our personal favorites that have not made it yet, but they aren't the cream of the crop. I think this line has a very long way to go and we may see a lot of those names added as time goes on.

I guess what i'm trying to say is, have we had more of the mainstream . cream of the crop guys at any point before this?
you can argue Jakks, but they never had the Macho Man.
I'm sure we;ll get tons of mid-card guys over the next few year, but as far as the upper level/main-event level guys, I can really only think of Goldberg and Kurt Angle as being missing from that upper top tier.

Absolutely. I'll take the line that has Savage all day, and Jakks fans can keep their Abe 'Knuckleball' Schwartz's.

I'm looking forward to further down the mattel 5 year contract, as legends & flashback remain popular as ever and we start getting more and more of the rare mid card guys. The A list and mega stars are pretty much all done or on the way... I'm looking forward to the Hercules', tugboat's. The mid card that jakks CS missed.

Five years is a long time and a lot of flashbacks and DM's & H.o.F's Is the plan to just keep re-releasing different attires of the already known stars of yesteryear?

Yea anything after 2016 is a bonus.. alot has been planned and done.. There are still holes though. WCW and ECW stars would be welcomed additions... I expect to see way more of them coming after 2016 or so...
as far as Legends go , I think trying to match the lineup Jakks had would be nice and they still have alot of time left..

Can't believe you forgot Bruno Sammartino, who I thought we'd never get from Mattel. Actually looking back, those early legends figures have really grown on me over the years.

I feel like there are still lots of legends/flashbacks to be made I agree, and welcome to the boards. Watch your post count or everyone will think you're Dolph Sniffler, Piercetheveil, or some other scammer.

Mattel has confirmed we won't see Hollywood Hulk Hogan until 2016 and I have a feeling we won't see Surfer Sting until 2016 as well. Not to mention 2002 Hogan, Wolfpac, Sting, more Flairs, Scott Hall etc. Then add in Kurt Angle, Goldberg, The Hardyz, Dudleys, Hart Foundation, Sycho Sid, Steiners among others and I have to say no. If anything I think we are just getting started.
I will however say I believe that 2014-2016 will give us the best legends/flashback figures we have ever seen.

Goldberg (WCW Champion) Dusty Rhodes (non polka dot, NWA Champion) Ivan Koloff (WWWF Champion, NWA Tag Champion) Nikita Koloff (main evented StarrCade, US Champion, NWA Tag Champion) Tito Santana (I-C Champion, WWF Tag champion) Rick Martel (Strike Force version, WWF Tag champion) Don Muraco (I-C Champion) Greg Valentine (I-C Champion, WWF Tag champion) Haku (WWF Tag champion) Mike Rotundo/IRS (WWF Tag Champion x5, NWA TV Champion) Nasty Boys (WWF Tag Champions, WCW Tag Champions) Steiner Brothers (WWF Tag Champions, WCW Tag Champions) Jesse Ventura (film star, mayor, governor) Superstar Graham (WWWF Champion) - might not be possible due to his relationship with Vince Brian Pillman (Bengal tights version, WCW Light Heavyweight Champion, WCW Tag Team Champion) Kona Crush (it's gonna happen) Hart Foundation (WWF Tag Champions) Big John Studd (principal member of Heenan family and chief rival to Hogan and Andre) Psycho Sid (WWF Champion, WCW Champion) Brutus Beefcake (WWF Tag Champion, one of top babyfaces of the late 80's) Harley Race (NWA World Champ, WWF King of the Ring) British Bulldogs (WWF Tag Champions) Bad News Brown (its gonna happen) 1-2-3 Kid (staple of the New Generation) Ron Simmons (WCW Champion, WWF Tag Champion) Barry Windham (NWA Champion, NWA Tag Champion, WWF Tag Champion, principal Horseman)
Plus there's still a ton more potential for Rick Rude, Sting, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, Ted DiBiase, Lex Luger.
I omitted Pedro Morales because he was overlooked in his own era, let alone in 2015. I don't see Patterson getting made either due to all the scandal surrounding his life and career.

Even though we are getting Sting, Hogan, and just recently Flair, we still have so many iconic looks for them. Hell, doing Surfer Sting and Hollywood Hogan seem like worlds apart from Crow Sting and Hulk Hogan.
Also, more untouchables now may unlock with time such as Goldberg. As far as an ongoing toy line, who knows how long they'll even continue to make the current style of figure? Marvel Legends is about the oldest continuous line of figures still on the mass market but even it has drastically altered its approach to where the first waves and the last don't resemble each other stylistically.
We have entered year six of the Mattel license with all of the original molds still being used in addition to later designs added. How long before they retire molds? How long before they change scale, and more importantly, how long before the market can't be sustained due to the price?
