You have some great searching skills to find that rarity. Wow. Great stuff. How close are you to the complete collection? I love seeing what you find. Any chance ajpw mini big heads are your next collection to start? Thank you. I've learned to be patient and deal directly with vendors from Japan for the best deals. It never hurts to send Japanese vendors private messages over sites like Ebay with inquiries about the figures that you are after. To answer your question: I don't intend on tracking down a complete set; just figures of the Wrestlers whom I like (Abdullah, Mutoh, Misawa, Shinzaki, Tiger Mask, Hansen, etc). BUT, I did manage to find a COMPLETE set of Mini Big Head figures from the ALL JAPAN Volume which is STILL AVAILABLE and can be shipped worldwide! For roughly $108, you get: - the entire Mini Big Head Volume. 3? standard figure set - the Mini Big Head "NOAH" ring - PLUS, the special Mitsuharu Misawa SECRET mystery figure! Depending on some sites, the Misawa Secret figure and the NOAH ring are worth the $108 alone. It seems you also get a certificate, too! Here's the link: www.toudoukan.com/shop/goods/$/id/1040189/Good stuff man, thanks. I may look into those ajpw minis in the future. They really make some unique items overseas. I enjoy just looking at these items and always wonder what they will come up with next?

Definitely cool to see that never seen those with the ring and I have seen several of the rings for sale before. Anyone know what other rings have been released? I know I've seen different styles As far as I know, only two rings are available The NOAH ring which has been pictured above and a red ring created as a not for sale, promotional piece pictured below: You can find this and the NOAH rings available through ebay here: edit: since this site *loves* ebay links, just look up mini big head ring on ebay or the vendor susi-sumo-jpn and you're sure to find the rings. UPDATE: currently waiting for a transaction on these two figures: Mini Big Head Volume 5 Mil Mascaras 1 - Wrestling attire Mil Mascaras 2 - Mariachi attire

UPDATE: the newest addition to my Pro-Kaku/Mini Big Head figure collection: Mil Mascaras B (vol. 5) For a 2 inch figurine, the Mini Big Head came well packed in a mail packet secured with bubble wrap. The Mascaras Mini Big Head came packaged in it's original, unopened shrink wrap. Fresh out of his packaging; this version of Mil Mascaras features his classic Mariachi entrance attire complete with Sombrero and a exterior Mask Mil would throw to the audience before the start of the match. The Mil Mascaras Mini Big Head also makes a nice display piece when paired with his Vol.5 rivals "The Destroyer" or "Abdullah the Butcher". Next up...complete the transaction for Mil Mascaras A (ring attire).

Update: after a lengthy and unsuccessful wait for the Mil Mascaras A figure (rude, unresponsive ebay seller) I decided to cut my loses and promised myself to search elsewhere for more additions to my set. Speaking of which, look what just arrived in the mail today: It's mail time. It's mail time. Mint in their shrink wrap packaging "Dos Caras" and "Super Tiger" Mini Big Head figures. Dos Caras comes from Vol.5 of the Pro Kaku Heroes "Legends" line while Super Tiger was originally featured in Vol.4. I especially like the Lucha inspired pose of the Dos Caras figure. Like all of the other figures in the Mini Big Heads/Pro Kaku heroes line, both Super Tiger and Dos Caras are highly detailed with vibrant colors. Just like Super Tiger's actual mask, the Super Tiger Figure's mask also features his name written on the back of the mask. The Dos Caras figure makes a nice display piece when posed with his Luchador brother Mil Mascaras. My wrestling mini figure collection up to date. NEXT UP: Still looking for Mil Mascaras A (left) AND a certain tobacco chewing, crazed Cowboy from Borger Texas. Stay tuned and thanks for reading!

You're collection is great. Can't wait to see more Thank you. The collection is definitely a conversation piece in my office; especially when old school Wrestling fans come over. aristrist, You've actually inspired me to track down and purchase a few figures (which are currently on their way). Update: from Japan with love, a new mail packet has just arrived. Still mint in their packaging; Stan Hansen B and Akira Hokuto B Mini Big Head figures. The Stan Hansen figure comes from Vol. 7 of the Pro-Kaku Heroes line while the Akira Hokuto figure comes from Vol. 8. I just love the crazed and powerful look of the Stan Hansen figure as he pulls off his finishing move ...The Lariat! As usual, both figure are very well detailed (especially for their size). The Akira figure is exceptionally eye catching with her authentic entrance attire complete with kimono, Kabuki wig, Katana and a Hannya Mask. Take a look: Pretty spot on, wouldn't you say? I'm sure Great Kabuki would be proud. The "WRESTLING FIGURE AND RING" makes an ideal ring to pull off Stan Hansen's Lariat against other Mini Big Head figures. Can you say "LARIATOOOOOO"? A Kabuki play in the works or a lethal new foreign faction? You decide! More figures on their way. Stay tuned!

Update: Arriving in a sturdy, cardboard box and bubble wrap packaging: mail time is here once again. The Ultimo Dragon 5 figure Mini Big Head set. Comes in a beautiful, display box with a shiny, gold foil stamp which reads in black letters "ULTIMO "YOSHIHIRO ASAI" DRAGON 20 TH ANIVERSARY" (note the missing "n" in "anniversary"). Collector's note: the box also comes shrink-wrapped and even after viewing the figures, can be used to reseal the figures back into the box's original condition for displaying. Once the shrink wrap is removed, the display box opens up to reveal the 5 Ultimo Dragon figures neatly organized and secured within a foam tray. The five piece figure set was created especially to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Yoshihiro Asai's wrestling career. All five figures are exclusive repaints of the already released Ultimo Dragon Mini Big Head figure from Vol. 6 and were only available in the 20th anniversary box as a not-for-sale promotional item. The figures were handed out at Ultimo Dragon's 20th anniversary party in Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan to a select number of attendees. The five figure set features many variations of Ultimo's ring and entrance attires worn throughout his career. Most notably, the third (red, white and green) Ultimo Dragon figure features a special entrance and ring attire inspired by the official colors of Mexico. The figures are very well detailed and easily stand out due to their vibrant colors. My personal favorites are the classic green and Black/Gold Ultimo Dragon figures. Overall, a definite must for any Wrestling/Puroresu figure collection. Next up; attempt to track down: "WRESTLING FIGURE AND RING" Abdullah The Butcher vs Terry Funk (fork version). Volume 1/1.5 Stan Hansen Mini Big Head (entrance attire). Stay tuned for more figures...

Very nice to see another mini big head collector! I love these so much (Since I had soccer/football ones as a kid). Love the Ultimo Dragon box set, I just recently ordered it too with a bunch more Looking forward to more updates. May I ask where you buy these from (Apart from the ones on ebay, if you do buy from other places that is). Those black stands too, where did you find those? They are perfect for them!

All of my Mini Big Heads were purchased through ebay. Some were quite tricky to track down since I had to constantly message vendors throughout Japan who were selling Puroresu related merch in hopes that they would have some to sell on the side. The stand can be purchased on ebay with the following title: New Clear UV Acrylic/Plastic Display Box Case Dustproof Tray Protection 3 Steps Dust proof, easy to clean and makes your collection stand out so much easier. I recommend the 3 step case (the vendor also sells cheaper ones) if you wish to display more than 14 Mini Big Heads.

Update: two new Mini Big Heads have arrived. Clearly an FMW inspired roundup: Mini Big Head Hayabusa (B - Entrance attire) and Mini Big Head The Original Sheik. Hayabusa comes from Vol.4 while The Original Sheik comes from Volume 7. The Hayabusa Mini Big Head figure features one of Hayabusa's many entrance attires adorned with Japanese writing, belt and gold trimming. The Orginal Sheak Mini Big Head figure features The Sheik also in his entrance attire complete with sword, gold trimmed Keffiyeh and Sheik's signature taunt. To the left, Hayabusa B with a pre match taunt. To the right, Hayabsa A lowers his head and prepares to launch a death defying, high risk maneuver. "ALOO,ALOO!!!" The Original Sheik displays well with his notable adversaries Tiger Jeet Singh and Abdullah The Butcher. Would you dare step into the ring against this trio of madmen? My Mini figure collection up to date. Next up: Stay tuned for more updates!

This thread has made me want to start collecting again. Since I know next to nothing about Mini Big Heads, can someone give me an idea on where to start?

This thread has made me want to start collecting again. Since I know next to nothing about Mini Big Heads, can someone give me an idea on where to start? I would start on Ebay. There is a seller called susi-sumo-jpn who sells the Mini Big Head figures. Alternatively, you can also use Yahoo Auctions Japan. you'll need to hire a Japanese agent to purchase/bid on figures for you through Yahoo Auctions.Agents are known for charging a service fee for purchasing items for you. If you want to find a Japanese agent to bid on Yahoo Auctions, I would recommend starting your search by asking ebay sellers located in Japan first and foremost.

Right outta nowhere: time for another update. It's mail time once again direct from Japan. Today's grab: Great Sasuke and Tiger Mask IV Mini Big Head figures The Tiger Mask IV Mini Big Head comes packaged with "New Japan Pro Wrestling" and "Kodansha" stickers. For those curious, Kodansha first published the original Tiger Mask comics between 1968-1971. The Tiger Mask IV Mini Big Head (entrance attire) comes from Vol. 9 while The Great Sasuke figure comes from Vol.4. The Tiger Mask IV figure also comes with a detachable turnbuckle base (a feature exclusive to only a handful of Mini Big Head figures). The Tiger Mask IV figure is based off of the 4th and current Tiger Mask Yoshihiro Yamazaki; who was also the first Tiger Mask to be officially endorsed by Satoru Sayama (the original Tiger Mask). From Sasuke's colourful mask and determined look to the roman numerals of "IV" indented into the front of Tiger Mask's mask, both figures are very well detailed. Tiger Mask IV's detachable base is also compatible with figures from the WRESTLING FIGURE AND RING series of minifigures. Two Tigers. Master and Sensei. Championship material? Ready for a fight? The Great Sasuke makes a nice display piece when paired with the Hayabusa Mini Big Head figure.

UPDATE: The wait is over. One new addition plus a bonus surprise. To the right: one Mini Big Head. To the left: a weird looking package covered with PRIDE Fighting Championships artwork. What could be inside? This version of Jushin "Thunder" Liger is from Vol 9. and is based off of the debut of the "Jushin Liger" gimmick back in 1989. As the anime version of Jushin Liger continued to evolve in appearance, so too did Liger's real-life Pro Wrestling counterpart. As always, the detail of this mini figure is very well done and colorful. The bonus: a Nobuhiko Takada keychain included as a surprise with my Liger order. The Takada keychain; while not standable, is nicely detailed and contains a small dogtag containing the now defunct "PRIDE" promotion logo. The packaging of the Takada keychain displays a "7Eleven" logo indicating that this particular series of keychains were sold as Japan-only promotional items as well as a small bio card in the shape of a 4 page mini pamphlet. When opened up, the pamphlet displays illustrated drawings of the 7 different keychains available to collect. Stay tuned for more updates.

UPDATE: time for a triple threat PLUS an added bonus. As I've often said in the past: "it's mail time". 3 new Mini Big Head figures. 3 masked superstars. All in their original packaging. The Cobra and Black Tiger Mask figures had stickers of New Japan pro Wrestling's logo placed on their packaging. Lets's open 'em up. Masked rivals: Mini Big Head Black Tiger Mask and "The Cobra" George Takano figures. Black Tiger Mask comes from Vol. 9. while The Cobra comes from Vol. 7. From Black Tiger's pointing pose to the recreation of The Cobra's mask, both Mini Big Heads are well designed and show the amount of detail that went into the Mini Big Head line. Speaking of rivals, here's Black Tiger's arch nemesis: Tiger Mask. This version of Tiger Mask comes from Vol. 4. This Mini Big Head figure pays tribute to Satoru Sayama; the original Tiger Mask. As a nice little extra, this Tiger Mask figure also comes complete with a mini Tiger Mask. Very cool. You can almost picture Sayama mentally preparing himself to become Tiger Mask and wrestle! Earlier this month, I also received an unexpected surprise. When I purchased my last Mini Big Head (Jushin Thunder Liger Vol. 9.) the Liger figure was sent to the wrong address. Not only did I receive the original Liger figure that I ordered (last update), I also received a duplicate Liger figure mint in it's original packaging along with a festive, holographic Japanese card, an apology note, full refund and... ...a pair of New Japan Pro Wrestling Stickers! Not sure what the blue sticker says, but, very cool. For Japanese wrestling figures and Mini Big Heads, you can look up the same seller on ebay: C & M Treasure Box. Stay tuned for a "strong style" update.

Time for a strong style UPDATE: 3 new figures. Hmmm. I wonder who they could be? Mini Big Heads Antonio Inoki, Giant Baba A and Giant Baba B. The Inoki Mini Big Head comes with a New Japan sticker and a special sticker (to the left) which reads "OFFICIALLY LICENSED INOKI INTERNATIONAL INC. PRODUCT". The Antonio Inoki Mini Big Head comes from Vol. 4. Adorned with his trademark red fighting towel and courage instilled fighting stance. This Mini Big Head is modelled after an older, experienced Antonio Inoki reaching the end of his professional wrestling career. Speaking of professional wrestlers... The second and third figures from this update: Giant Baba X2! Giant Baba A (Robe) Giant Baba B (Big Boot) are both from Vol. 9 of the Mini Big Head series. Giant Baba A (Robe) features Baba's signature entrance robe adorned with a Peacock design and stern stance while Giant Baba B (Big Boot) features one of Baba's iconic attacks the Big Boot. It is also worth noting that the Giant Baba figures are some of the tallest Mini Big heads available! The Big Boot in action! Stay tuned for a Mastodon sized update.
