You remember last years Royal Rumble? How everyone knew Batista was going to win, and then the ppv came out pretty sh**ty. Yeah....they're building this years rumble up the same way. Give the rumble win to ziggler or Ambrose and shock the entire world. Give us something good after ruining practically everything with Brock.

Call me crazy but I actually think that Reigns 'superman push' is all on Vince and not on HHH. I personally think that Bryan was and still can be THE man in WWE. He had the best merchandise sales other than Cena despite having crap merchandise, is the most over guy in the company since Austin/Rock, appeals to people of all ages, good on the mic, great in the ring, has mainstream appeal and has bought the WWE lots of media attention... What else does the man f*cking need? I'm not a Reigns super hater but having him as the next top guy just because of his look is stupid. WWE should actually give us a new top guy who is a breath of fresh of air and not the same old muscle heads. Bryan or Ambrose would be great. I don't doubt it. It's only a matter of time until Vince looks at NXT and realizes Triple H knows what he is doing. Only then will he finally move away from the past. He needs to recognize that the industry is changing and that a new crop of talent is arising. With the way the new talent is, I personally think Reigns doesn't fit the mold in the long run. I agree. To me, its like looking back in 1995 and seeing Diesel as Champion. When I think of champs and faces of the company, I gloss right over him. I suspect the same thing will happen here.

Some people are already getting sick of him. His mic work is crummy. His matches since going solo have not impressed me. He has been carried a lot of the time. He's over with the girls and kids mostly. I could be wrong. Dude's formula to putting on a match is so predictable. That's one thing that sets him apart from Rollins and Ambrose. With them, you never know what they might do next. I don't mind Reigns, I just don't like how the dude is booked. He has been booked to look like this unstoppable force. The story of Reigns should be him stumbling a bit along the way. Aside from this injury, nothing has really slowed him down a bit. He will win the Rumble and he will beat Lesnar at Mania. Sad, but it's going to happen.

A big part of this is that the wheels were set in motion for this nearly a year ago now with Brock ending the streak, and by the time a setback happened, it was too late to switch gears because so much had already been invested in it.
In a perfect world, Roman would have been gaining momentum these last few months and we might not even be having these conversations because in these few months, maybe he would have proven himself more ready for it than what we see now. You can't fault WWE for trying to salvage what they can from something that so much planning has gone into. WWE is at the point of no return. They have to follow through with their original plan, otherwise Brock beating the streak, destroying the current top guy, and holding the title hostage for months would be for absolutely nothing. All of this was set in motion with the idea of it being the launching pad for Roman, and now they have to follow through for all of this to be worth it.

I'd like to see a swerve of sorts where Vinnie Mac or Triple H help Roman Reigns defeat Lesnar. They want their title back from the man who has been holding it hostage. Brock then leaves (which is the rumor anyhow), we get a mega heel monster in Roman, and the fans will more likely be happy. Then we get Corporate Roman vs Cena, Ambrose, Ziggler, Bryan, Orton, and maybe even Rock.
This way they can build Roman up without fan backlash & build Ambrose up as the man crazy enough to stop him.

So Reigns isn't ready and they are aware. And their #2 is Ambrose?? Can you imagine Ambrose vs Lesnar at WM 31 Ambrose wins the belt Yeah it would be a huge mistake. Yep, why would we need a champ with mic skills, ring skills and an actual character? If this is true then it just sums up what's wrong with WWE. Ambrose out sells him, has mic skills and better ring skills and he's still number two because he doesn't have DA LOOK.

This is even more obvious than last year.
Are we just used to the formula of wrestling or is it really that obvious?

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart werent WWE's "type" either.
Then again, that was the lowest point financially/rating wise in WWE history.

2 ways out of this.
1. Have Dolph Ziggler win the Royal Rumble and beat Brock Lesnar 2. Have Rollins cash in on and beat the winner of Cena vs. Lesnar. Have Ambrose win the Royal Rumble. Ambrose vs. Rollins at WM31 for the WWE title.

The only way I will be okay with Roman Reigns winning the title is if Seth Rollins cashes in on him immediately after.
