WWE hates paying money for wrestler's theme music on dvds. Theme music which was created by inhouse musicians so I doubt that they will pay Marvel or DC money to have a figure painted in those images. Joker Kofi, Batman Rey, and Skeletor Kofi all say hi.

Here is my follow up question....... How many regular Reys and Kofis were released BEFORE we got those special attires?

Mattel has the DC license. No extra spending needed. It's the same way they can make He-man and Ghostbusters attires for Kofi, Mattel has the license for those as well. Flash Rey was Rey's third Elite I believe in 2010.

I would think DC would not be cool with WWE benefiting from Dc's intellectual properties. Im pretty sure DC would want some kind of royalties.

The've made a Balor t-shirt with his R-Evolution make up, so I could see them making a figure with that same paint...

In a post Takeover interview Balor mentioned that the paint and headgear he wore were not based on a comic character but on the Irish mythology. Balor is the name of a monstrous cyclops (typically depicted with long tendrils on each arm) that is usually drawn and colored in red & black. Therefore Mattel/WWE would have no problem using that paint for a Balor figure. The are already selling t-shirts with his face paint on it.

I guess it's just ironic that it looks like Carnage who he has also painted up as before.

I think that's far enough away from actually looking specifically like carnage to be considered infringement though. At least I hope lol

Plenty, but Kofi does have 5 figures in 'nerd' tights. Slimer, Battle Cat, Skeletor, Robin, & Joker. Also, the one that comes with Batman Rey is based off his Wolverine tights, tho I believe they changed it just enough to get away with it. I still want a Sinestro Corps one.

Just watched an hour long documentary on him, literally cannot wait for this man to explode onto our screens and display cabinets I really hope he gets to the top as well. As far as figures go, he could be like the Jeff Hardy we missed out on and deliver a string of wild and interesting(marketable) figures to the line. I mean, if merch sales dictate your push, it shouldn't take too long for him imo.

Is that war paint one he is known for using regularly (before awWE) or is he like Hardy and constantly using different paint jobs?

Are we calling the second largest pro wrestling organization in the world, New Japan Pro Wrestling, an indy fed now?

WWE paid for 1 guy to have a band sing for him, that does not mean that now any and all can have Limp Biscuit as theme music. The same applies here, I think, just because WWE paid for the licensing rights for a Flash Rey, or a Skeletor Kofi, that doesnt mean now EVERY wrestler can follow suit. I think if wwe does make a Finn figure as a Marvel character, it would be a one time thing that would need approval every time one was planned. And not just a Marvel themed figure made every time wwe felt like it. I would think there is a lot of legal details that need to be worked out before they can proceed.
