I did try to do a search, but wasn't able to come up with what I was looking for, so please forgive the Noob if this has already been covered before.
I know I want to get the upcoming Rollins and Reigns figures from Elite 33, and I'd like an Ambrose to match. Since I can't walk into a Wal-Mart without tripping over Elite 25 and 31 Ambroses, this is probably the time to get one before the $12 sale is over. I'm thinking 31 is probably the best match, but I'm not crazy with the scans on either of them. So far, I think the best scan I've seen is on the 33 Basic version, but I don't know how many different scans he's done. It could just be the paint apps.
Any thoughts or ideas? I'm not opposed to combining a couple of Ambrose figures if that will get me to where I want to be.

Definitely the latest Elite from series 31. The scan is one of those that looks much better in hand than in photos and it's based on what he was wearing at the start of this year which is pretty much what Rollins and Reigns are based on.

The first basic scan was his best so far in my opinion but I plan on putting a head from the new signature series on an E31 just to make it different from the E25 fixup I already have.

i think you should get the newest version. and if you have the time and money in the future, buy the basic to do a headswap. there are only 2 elite deans. 3 scans. 1 repaint (elite 25 with blond hair)

There are two different Elite sets of The Shield, spread out over various series, and Elite 33 goes with the newest Reigns and Rollins.
Right now though I'm just waiting for him in his current attire. And that figure we saw a proto for needs darker hair if they want my money. (Who am I kidding? I'll buy it even if it looks as awful as the original proto)

I passed on the Shields first elites and picked up E31 Ambrose a few weeks a go. It is an awesome figure, I got it to go with Rollins and Reigns from 33.

I ended up buying basics of the Shield when they were still together because I knew it was only a matter of time before they broke up and got new attires. The thought of a long sleeved Seth was going to change my mind but now I'll wait for a newer version. And for the OP'er, I agree with everyone else: E31 Ambrose would go best.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll pick up an Elite 31 Ambrose on the way home from work. Like Jarvis19 said, I can always buy the basic version later and do a head swap if the Elite 31 scan doesn't grow on me.

Yup.......I cant wait to get my "Ultimate Shield" made. Are you going to put the Goldust arms on his E25 figure or are you going to crack the torso to add them to the E33 figure? It's more expensive but it's probably easier to use the Goldust arms and then the vest and head from the E33 Rollins and put them on the E25 figure. I'm leaning towards the latter since I already have an extra E25 Rollins.

I will be putting the new elite head and vest on elite 25 alongside the Goldust arms.
I will then use the leftover elite 34 Rollins to make a suitable Ambrose.....

Uhh... E31? Isn't that kind of obvious? It probably is, but when I referred to myself as a noob, I wasn't kidding. I just bought my first wrestling figure a few weeks ago, and I haven't followed wrestling all that closely since the Monday Night Wars. I have a LOT of catching up to do. The WWE Network and You Tube are helping with the actual wrestling while forums like this one are helping with the figures. On a side note, I think Kaitlyn may be my favorite Diva as well. I've been watching a lot of her feud with AJ from last year after picking up her second basic figure at TRU a couple of weeks ago. I got the "Best of 2013" version in the mail yesterday from an eBay auction, but I think I like the black top/brown eyes version I picked up at TRU a little better.
