I don't see it as a really big problem having to wait till day of to see what/if they will be doing anything. Maybe that's just me. the world does not revolve around RSC. thanksgiving is an enormous holiday for a huge country - i know other countries don't care about thanksgiving but care more about the holiday of Black Friday - but people are going to many places at that time, they might be on an airplane or riding in a car. thanksgiving is the most highly-traveled day in the united states. these are situational factors that are beyond peoples control, especially if they will be with their families. plus, time is different in different places in the country and online sales are discriminatory in a sense because people are essentially on different schedules when the sale will be happening (which is still not even announced). this thread is about asking if the sale will be happening, because there is no indicator that it is. I get what you're saying, but it's their company and they have no responsibility to tell you there will be a sale. Also, I don't feel that strictly speaking it benefits them to tell you there will be or not (people holding out ordering or deciding to shop elsewhere) and I honestly don't even consider it a disservice to their customers. I know more than likely there will be, so I will log on Friday (or Monday) to check and see whats up--something that even with our busy schedules anyone can pretty much do with WiFi around the world; at least anyone who would be doing online shopping normally.

I just assume that if I wake up at 6am and go to RSC's website, that I will have a toy boner at all the awesome prices.
That hope will get me through Friday morning.

I'm sure there will be one, but Ringside has to my knowledge never announced what would be on sale areas of time. They have taken requests but I don't recall them ever announcing what's on sale ahead of time.

They've never announced what they're selling early. The sale just shows up out of nowhere around 5am Eastern time. dude, yes they have announced sales in the past. that's why people are excited and looking forward to and asking about this Black Friday sale. plus, they usually put up banners and countdowns and threads and polls. this is THE sale of the year, the biggest spending day of the year. i think people would want to know what they are spending their money on and what they want to buy depending on the price. i'm they'll swerve us and at this point there might not even be a Black Friday sale, but everyone would benefit from knowing what the sale is and what the implications of the sale such as free shipping or sale prices or package deals or what have you. do you understand what i'm getting at? Wrong. They have never said ahead of time what items would be on sale for the Black Friday sale.

He's right, it was always a surprise, maybe you're mistaking when members would make threads on what's for sale that morning.

They did say "Next Friday is Black Friday, but this Friday is Pro-order Friday!"
That tells me they will have a sale. Plus they'd really be missing the boat if they don't have one....
They are likely just pushing the preorders til the last minute, then boom, most of what's in stock right now will be on sale

Do they ever add older legends or elites? If it's just stuff they have on the site already I may pass I was wondering this myself.

I'll probably just check it out when I wake up, but I'm not getting up at 6am on my day off, on the off chance there is something up that's worth it. I do all of my Black Friday shopping online now, on Thursday, so there is no reason to even do the whole get up at the ass crack of dawn on Friday thing anymore. There are a few Basics I'd grab if they are retail price, and then I'd love RSE Edge and Punk at around normal Elite retail price but I'm pretty caught up on my wants at this point, outside of pre-order stuff. Might grab some Stackdown stuff if it's discounted.

The loose figure selection is pretty weak at the moment, so barring some new additions to the site, there probably isn't a lot of incentive for me to set the alarm.

ive been on this board for over 7 years
RSC has never once announced what was going to be on sale during BF ahead of time. it always has and always will be "get up early to see what they do" same with Cyber Monday. They've done request threads....like what we would want to see on sale...and taken people's requests into consideration. But thats about it.

Oh my god just wake up at 6, check it, go back to bed. What's the issue here? The issue is if there will be a sale. They haven't said it will be at 6am (which happens to be only on the east coast). Will there be a sale? There are no banners or anything advertising it.

How is it bratty to ask if there's gonna be a sale? Or what the details will be? Like I said, the world does not revolve around RSC. It would be appreciated if they could communicate with their customers - the people who keep that business alive.

The world doesn't revolve around RSC, but their business does. They're not being rude or discourteous at all. They can put up Black Friday info whenever they want.
The world doesn't revolve around you as a customer either. Chill out.
