Surprisingly enough, he pulled it off. I love that match. I've never seen it. Maybe I'll pull it up tonight on the Network. Doitdoitdoitdoitdoit.

Merged the Sting threads into one. This is now the official place to talk about Sting in WWE.

Speaking of wrestlers who never competed in WWE, a lot of the obscure ones who weren't signed with WWE during the invasion angle come to mind

Or sure the IWC doesn't want Sting to wrestle, but when he does wrestle everybody will be like. From the subpar work I saw in TNA, I have no interest in Senior CitiSting. He was over the hill 10-15 years ago. He's far, far, far past his prime now.

Uhm, Austin Aries? Samoa Joe? Yeah NMS is right, nobodies. I'm guessing many WWE fans know Joe by virtue of him being friends with Punk, even if they've never watched TNA.

Everybody knew at that time going into the match, though, that was going to be Austin's last match. With Undertaker, we've literally been left wondering every year for the past five or so Wrestlemanias if this was going to be his last match. Nobody is saying he needs a huge goodbye party, but something like the ending to his HIAC match with HBK and Triple H was a fitting way to end his career. Something small, but meaningful like that. I dunno man.. I don't remember anybody knowing WM 19 was going to be Austin's last match at the time. Agreed, I don't remember anything like that either.

Well rumors are Sting will be inducted into the Hall this year. If so, who should/would induct him? Flair? Luger?
Personally I'd like to see Luger do it, but we all know WWE would love to get Flair out there once again.

Kurt Angle was reportedly upset about Sting's physical limitations during their feud. I'm not sure if that's true, but it's plausible because he was definitely showing his age.

Check out the Bound for Glory matches with Joe and Angle. Far from bad and id say they're great.
