I shared done pics with the board about the meet and greets I had the privilege of attending recently. I got to meet Sting, Foley, Vader, Luger, and a few others 2 weeks ago and last weekend I met Flair, Steamboat, and Demolition. Well this weekend I attending a small convention in Massachusetts with a few more of my favorite stars.
The main draw of the day was the Hulkster himself. I bought a speed pass so I was able to jump the line (which at $20 was totally worth it. That line was HUUUUUGE). He signed my world heavyweight championship belt along with an Unmatched Fury figure. I wish his defining moments figure had been released but I'm happy with what I have. Here are a few pics.
I wasn't sure what to expect because I've read some stories about Hogan not being too personable but he was AWESOME. They brought is into the room 10 at a time and I happened to be the first in my group. He asked me about everyone else who signed my belt. He was interested to know when and where I had been meeting people. He saw Luger's name and asked a few questions about how he looked and how he was doing. He started signing the figure with the yellow paint pen and he immediately let me know how great the yellow looked!
Sidenote: he started saying something about wishing he could be signing new figures but he stopped himself without saying anymore.
Here's one last pic with me and Hulk:
In the same room was Jimmy Hart. I told him I couldn't leave without a signature from him and he started offerings 8x10 photos. It old him I actually brought something for him to sign. I pulled out an old WCW plastic megaphone that a buddy of mine found at an old wrestling shop and asked me to get it signed for him. Jimmy was THRILLED and said nobody ever really brought things for him to sign. He eve let me get a photo with him for free (and yes, he handed me his megaphone and told me to hold it for the pic).
Afterwards I ventured into the convention to find Kevin Nash. It took a while because his booth was tucked away in the back. I was surprised to see that there was no line at all for him. I had him sign my WHC belt:
He also signed my IC title (as Diesel, per my request).
I was lucky enough to find an Elite Diesel MOC for a decent price on the bay last week so I had him sign that too. I asked of he could throw a "big daddy cool" on there for me and he was happy to oblige!
That's all for this weekend guys! I hope a few of you enjoyed hearing about these meet and greets I've been to over the past few weeks. They all came out near me this month but I don't think there will be any good signing for me until 2015.
